I recently learned of this in the first seven minutes of this Dave Paulidas
Missing 411 vid. I know you guys are all sick of this disease paranoia.
So I hope you find some solace in the fact that for what ever reason.
The federal government is showing ZERO concern for a disease that's in
a way the same only different. The same as well, as others. That
government assured it's people would not cross over from animal to
human. But ya ya you know, same ole crap we always get from our
"Leaders". Yep low and behold wrong again.

"Put that call on hold, ignore it till it goes away. La la la la! SECURITY
GET THAT MAN OUT OF MY OFFICE.

Well guess what there is no security from this contagion
CRONIC WASTING DISEASE
Because PETA? Who TF knows? On a quest for the holy grail. IDK
But on a lighter note in Bovines it's known as Mad Cow disease and
in humans it's Prions disease. While in the cannibals of New Guinea
it is known as KURU.
Prions disease has a very long incubation period in humans. According
to Paulidas humans can have it for thirty years before symptoms begin
to make the disease known.

In Great Briton, people were told by their government. That the meat
of cattle known to have the disease was likely okay for consumption.
While I don't understand people even asking. Not to upset the streak
governments had going they were wrong people died. So with our
government here in America I just figured I'd be courteous and neighborly
and as unlike government as I can possibly be. All to let you ATS readers
know of one more horrific disease in America, THAT HAS NO VACCINE is
incurable and is pretty much being ignored by the feds.

Luckily Americans are hunters
and they have taken up the cause. Because governments need a baby
sitter. Just a simple mention of another disease involving proteins.
Conclusions contrasts connections I submit to you guys. But please distinguish
between paranoias warranted and unwarranted and remember this is just a
heads up for people who might be setting venison on their table right now.
Nothing gov. would choose to ignore by any means. I would never say such
a thing to anyone here or in a bar in Portland. My conclusions would involve
a very long winded profuse spasm of words that would describe horrific
scenes. Of which would see me band from the entire interlink. Confronted
pulled aside, tackled, maced, tazzed, clubbed, flogged, gang raped
released and then shot during my escape.

I don't eat Bambi brains. I do like my venison med-rare though. Maybe smoked and salted jerky is safer?

How odd- CWD was found in Idaho deer and elk in 1997, yet we're not listed. Bovine spongiform encephalopathy was first identified in the UK in 1986, and the first US case was in 2003. It was a big deal in the news for a few months, then quietly faded away.

The experts-aka scientists- say to stay away from the brain and be careful not to contaminate the meat with spinal fluid and you're fine.
I'd trust wild game far more than slaughterhouse beef any day.

I remember having lunch with some of the senior researchers involved in early 1990. They said it was a public health concern but the chances of one person catching variant CJD from one serving was miniscule. I was the only person at the table who didn't have beef.

CJD deaths have increased since then, but almost of all those cases are common or garden human CJD rather than the variant that comes via livestock.

I'd trust wild game far more than slaughterhouse beef any day.

I'm no hunter but would it make sense to store the meat until testing results
come back. They do need more samples. Personally I wouldn't comfortable
not knowing.

Ha ha! That reminds me of what I said to one of my sons cocky friends.
Telling me how he could beat my ass. I laughed at him and said. "You dumb
ass, I wouldn't hesitate to light you up with that 12 gage I got sit'n inside
the house. Because they can only give me so much time".

The prions are in the brain and spinal fluid, not the meat itself. The only way for it to be in the meat is through contamination , which is avoidable with proper butchering techniques.
