Remember, remember, the month of November,
Armistice, fire and plot.
I see no reason why the month of November
Should ever be forgot.
'Twas the month of November
That the Crystal Palace burnt down,
And 'twas also during this month
That Henry the Sixth took the crown.
During the eleventh month of the year
The Winter Palace was stormed,
Also, let's not forget
Edmond Halley was born.
The tenth of November, 1871,
David Livingstone was found,
But before that, Lord Nelson's statue
Was put on a column high above ground.
Remember, remember, the month of November,
Armistice, fire and plot.
I see no reason why the month of November Should ever be forgot.
A poem to remind us that there's more to November than Bonfire Night and Remembrance Day - hope you enjoyed it.
