I am so tired of racist roads and avenues segregating me to drive in certain lanes!

You know what actually is possibly “racist” are FWY’s that used to have carpool lanes, you know to fight climate change. Well in CA those lanes are now called “express lanes “ and you gotta pay to drive in them, doesn’t matter if you’re a single driver anymore, if you’re willing to pay you can pass by all those poor smucks stuck in traffic !

I actually got a ticket while visiting the Bay Area over the summer, apparently I used a lane they wanted .50 cents for, but since I ‘evaded” a toll they wanted $25 dollars ! I complained and was able to pay only .50 cents, oh and for the record this occurred while driving through Oakland CA, a predominantly black community, so it’s all total BS !!

This is one of the stupidest things I have ever read.

The mention of the design of NYC's road systems...

Can this politician or any of his subordinates be bothered to read even the most basic information about our systems? About the designs, about the plans, about Robert Moses and how much power he amassed? Nothing? Maybe just a quick wikipedia binge?

Maybe take a moment to understand why things in the city look the way they do and estimated costs of changing things like he's discussing?

Zero effort to understand the department he's been placed in charge of. Zero effort because zero interest.

But does that really surprise anyone? Politicians have long handed powerful well paying positions to unqualified people.

I'm sure someone somewhere can justify how a small town mayor of a city that's entire population can fit into a single block of NYC is going to "fix" all of the nation's transportation issues.

Bottom line is, as far as New York goes, absolutely nothing will be "changed" from a functional standpoint because the money does not exist and can not be printed fast enough for what this man wants. Sure, just tear down overpasses in the biggest city in the world to change their height. While everything is still going on. Takes two decades here to fix one overpass. But mayor hayseed doesn't understand or give a crap. The statement and press release are what matters.
