What colour of eyes do you like best? Maybe you like brown eyes. A dark earthy colour, warm and homely, the colour of chocolate, maybe you like this colour of eyes because it reminds you of all the creature comforts of home.

What colour of eyes do you like best? Maybe you're partial to blue eyes - the colour of the sea and the sky, the colour of Planet Earth. Maybe you like this colour because it reminds you that it's a big world out there, or maybe it makes you feel calm.

What colour of eyes do you like best? Maybe you have a preference for green eyes - the colour of nature, of grass and trees, of emerald and jade. You probably like green because it refreshes you - green is the colour of vitality and prosperity.

Well, you're probably wondering what colour of eyes I like by now, aren't you? Well, I like red eyes the best. The colour of heat, passion, fire, anger, courage, love and - my favourite representation - blood. Because everyone where I come from has red eyes.

Why is this in the short story forum? Is it really a story and not a real question as evidenced by the last paragraph.

You do make a good point - it isn't an actual question and it isn't really a story. But then where would it go? I once read a text similar to this one except the question the whole thing was based on was "Have you ever walked into a room and met a vampire?" Similar to this one as well, the end of the penultimate sentence and the last sentence revealed something more sinister. And that was on a web page called "30 Very Short Tales Of Horror That Are Better Than Most Scary Movies You’ve Watched". "Tales" is just a synonym for "Stories".

Could you say it's a free verse poem of sorts? And if you couldn't, then where should I have posted this?

I like free verse poetry, and creative writing. The short stories forum is the only place for such things, as far as I can tell.

I like your post, S&F! I am so tired of covid news, political news, etc... and I found your post refreshing, so thank you.

My eyes are blue, and I tire of them. I like brown eyes, myself, and dark hair for that matter. I always have, and for the exact reasons that you wrote about- I like earthy colors. My crush has brown hair and brown eyes, with little flakes of green, and I swoon every time I see her lol.

I like my Daughter’s copper colored eyes and my Husband’s dark brown eyes the best. My eyes are hazel most of the time,they are a steel grey when angry or unhappy, and a bright green when I am most happy. My Husband calls them mood ring eyes- I kind of hate that tell about me.

I have black hair and dark brown eyes thanks to my Chinese ancestry. I spend hours googling up images of people with purple or violet eyes though. In fact that's actually how I found ATS : I was looking at a Snopes article about a mythical genetic condition called Alexandria's Genesis that gives people affected purple eyes, pale skin and dark brown or black hair, and a girl posted here about a friend who supposedly had it, and Snopes included a link. Then I had a look around, and I liked what I saw, so I signed up.

Okay. Ramble over. Basically I like rarer eye colours - specifically purple eyes and heterochromia cases.

My eyes are various shades of green.

Where I come from red eyes are a tell tale sign of munchies and giggles...

Black eyes.

I can't believe people are actually taking this seriously as a question asking what colour of eyes they like best I don't know if some of these people even read my OP.

Sorry for anyone whose eye colour wasn't mentioned eg. grey, hazel, etc. I didn't want to make it too long.

I often think that everyone wants to be everyone else. Everyone with darker skin with dream of being white as snow while pale people go to tanning salons regularly to look bronze. People with dark hair dye themselves blonde and people with blonde hair dye themselves so black it doesn't even look natural. People with brown eyes think their eyes are so boring and people with blue eyes wish that they were a warm, earthy brown. The royals wish they didn't have so much duty and were free to eat fast food and wear jeans, and the working class wish they had scarlet carpets and personal spa... No one wants to be themselves. Everyone wants to be everyone else.

Apologies if I sounded preachy or if I offended anyone. It's been my opinion for a long time.

Yes red head yet non loyal too but shag like sh*t anything they come by. Wouldn't like to combine that with green eyes , sounds scary never had that mix either. Blue eyes pretty much Kosher IF YOU have blue eyes too. The two eye colours magnetize, it even comes down to light blue dark blur, it all mnakes a difference and thank the Lord for it. Berst combo is a blue eyed boy and a brown eyed girl. The situation is understood, the child will be stunning, love will be in the air, G-d will love you x x x

Exactly, you nailed it. I have blonde hair, blue eyes, and fair skin. Growing up, I always wanted black hair like superman. I hated how I thought I looked as a kid. I eventually got over it; I'm not one to care much about my appearance as an adult.

Now my long hair and beard are going gray, and I'm just rolling with it. I sort of look like overweight Thor and Gandalf had a love child lol.
