Interesting --

Tracy Beanz
@tracybeanz
There have been a flurry of new filings in the @KariLake AZ Supreme Court case. I’ll be threading this for you today. #StayTuned

Tracy Beanz Twitter

Kari Lake confirmed the new filings on her own Twitter --

This is true.

Team Kari filings? Team Cheaters filings? Do they have new evidence? Whistleblowers?

Something must have happened. If only new filings from Team Cheaters that Team Kari responded to...

Still nothing more from Kari or Tracy on the "flurry of filings" today, but someone did post a link to one of the filings in pdf --

Petitioner's Reply in Support of Cross-Motion for a Procedural Order for Leave to File a Motion for Reconsideration of the Denial of her Petition for Review

(Try to say that three times fast!)

I haven't read it yet. Just wanted to get it posted for anyone who does want to read it.

The law blog that posted the link didn't address the substance of the filing, but mockingly suggested that her filings are excessive, contrary to rules of the court, and therefore out of order:

BREAKING: Lake Attorneys Dig Deep(er), Give Supreme Court Another Unauthorized Filing To Support Not-Allowed Motion

Maybe she is pushing the rules and the boundaries, but that's exactly we need. That's exactly what I and her other supporters want her to do and expect her to do. That's what Kari's promised. That's what Kari's done. That's what Kari's doing.

Nothing more on the "flurry of filings" from either Kari or Tracy.

And I'm not seeing anything new in the one filing that was posted.

Sorry folks!

ETA: Beanz has apparently gotten distracted by some suggestion that it's her fault Liz Harris was removed from the House. It seems that Beanz isn't a fan of the team that investigated and presented the claims.

I am soooooooo weary of all the drama and ego!!!

I think the ugly truth is that the thieves managed to delay any investigation long enough that little will now be done.

It would be gratifying to see some of the thieves called out by name by people with power, but I don't believe we'll see any justice done.

Cheers

I have to agree with you, and it just pisses me off again... or more... I don't even know at this point.

I was reading comments on one of Kari's Twitter posts, and someone gave Kari kudos for understanding that the process is the punishment. Keep filing motions that the defendants must respond to, costing them time and money, never winning but never losing either...

I feel the same about all these little side dramas. And I'm sick and tired of the ego... for example, Beanz is now (falsely) boasting about all the articles she's written about election integrity in AZ and that she's the only one doing so, which is flat out bull. I seriously doubt anyone has reported more than Jordan Conradsen and TGP, but Jordan is local so it's not surprising. There is also Just The News, OAN, Freedom Outpost, and a gazillion more I'm just not thinking about right now. And while there is always a "first" to report, more often than not, the "first" report is re-posted across the net. There are soooooooooo many people reporting on this, and it isn't honest or helpful for anyone to try to claim they are the "only" one or the "best" one or any other descriptor intended to put themselves on a pedestal!

Just do your thing, do it the best you can, and let the chips fall where they need to fall. No one should be in this for their own personal glory. One of the things I appreciate most about Kari is that she could easily rest on her laurels but she doesn't. She considers herself part of a team... a movement... and she's just doing her part. It's Team Arizona... and Team America... Not Team Kari. If that changed, so would my support for Kari!

Sorry for the rant, I'm just frustrated and disgusted right now. UGH!!!

I don't recall outgoing Arizona Governor Doug Ducey endorsing Kari Lake, during the race to replace him last Summer/Fall. Did he endorse Katie Hobbs. (I still can't get my head around the fact that Hobbs is now Arizona's governor!)

Yes. Sadly, yes. Here is Hobbs bragging about her achievements during her first 100 days as Arizona governor.

It's not hopeless... but it's not especially hopeful either.

Many states have made legislative and regulatory changes for the better... others for the worse.

We know far more, but the laws and the courts don't always allow for legal recourse -- not regulatory recourse, not civil recourse, not legal recourse.

So it's still a fight.

There will never be another 2020... but that's not to say they won't come up with new tricks for 2024.

Ducey didn't endorse anyone. He just kept mum. Just like during Covid.

In hindsight, he was just a placemark. I don't think he started out that way, but something changed along the way.

I think that's true for many critters. They start out good, but someone gets to them one way or another.

Not a "collapse". If America goes under, it will be due to intentional destruction by the majority in charge.

Fox News settled with Dominion for $787.5 Million. I just can't see anyway this is good for democracy.

Exclusive: Inside the historic settlement between Fox News and Dominion

On Monday, the frantic negotiations got underway. In the whirlwind 24 hours that followed, the talks culminated in a historic deal, which was hammered out shortly after 2 p.m. ET Tuesday, averting what would have been a high-wattage trial that would have forced the right-wing talk network to reckon further with the election lies it aired in the wake of the 2020 presidential contest. “It went down to the wire,” Roscoe acknowledged to CNN. In addition to speaking to Roscoe, CNN also spoke to multiple people with direct knowledge of the events leading up to the $787.5 million out-of-court deal, the largest publicly known settlement ever for a U.S. defamation case against a media outlet.

I just can't see anyway this is good for democracy.

It's not. In any way.

And I do think this was the intended consequence. It makes everyone think twice and thrice before printing any suspicions about election machines and their integrity.

The one and only silver lining I can see is that because they settled, no crappy legal precedent has been set.

Oh a precedent has been set Boad.

So the case was for 1.6B. Fox settles at 700M and change.

What do you think other Fox competitors are worth? It's sub 500m, and that's being very generous, like double in some cases like OAN. These cases are still open.

So, with one fell swoop, you can eliminate Fox's competition AND never get to the heart of the voting machines matter.

However, it does demonstrate that Dominion can be bought off.
