Well if this is true then they got a chance to reform the cities police department cause there are gonna be a lot of openings

Only a few a dozen NYPD members were placed on unpaid leave Monday after refusing to get the COVID-19 vaccine — but thousands of unvaccinated employees remain on the job with pending exemption requests, the city’s top cop said.

Police Commissioner Dermot Shea said 34 cops and 40 civilian members of the force — which account for fewer than .15 percent of NYPD employees — did not comply with Mayor Bill de Blasio’s mandate requiring most city workers to get their first jab by Monday.

“That’s very fluid. That could go up as the day goes on,” said Shea, referring to NYPD members forced on unpaid leave, while adding that applications for medical or religious exemptions are still pending.

The Cops and the Army boys are not stupid. From what I can gather it seems that this is all being pushed by Higher up officers and Police commanders. If they were taken out it would all go away. That's why fragging got popular.

Coincidentally, 2300 NYC Firefighters called in sick today (Monday).

Roughly 2,300 members of the New York City Fire Department claimed they were sick and didn't show up to work on Monday as the city's COVID-19 vaccine mandate for municipal workers went into effect.

That's hilarious. Good for them.

DeBlasio has a lot of nerve. He shuts down NYC during March 2020 and lied to the fire fighters and EMTs telling them they don't need to wear masks because he claimed Covid was not airborn. The politicians hid in seclusion doing video conferences. Meanwhile firefighters and EMTs were being exposed over and over again to Covid.

And they had to continue working because they had no access to Covid tests in March 2020. Covid tests were reserved for hospitals in critical care.

So then NYC fire department achieved natural immunity to Covid. After which, at the end of April 2020 THEN DeBlasio says " oh it's airborn, wear a mask. What good did that do in March and April 2020 when all those fire fighters and EMTs were exposed?

Now DeBlasio does not want to recognize their natural immunity. Wants to force them to take an experimental vax.

I agree. Time to call in sick. DeBlasio made them work for 2 months Mar-Apr 2020, no masks exposing them over and over to Covid, while denying them Covid tests.

So they are entitled to 2 months sick leave in compensation.

Well it appears about 40ish people resigned out of 10,000.

Funny.

I hear they're all getting a free vacation courtesy of Southwest.

Still curious if anyone saw mass resignations or firings in NY? Looks like 45 total got the boot out of 10,000.

This is not about resignation or firings, it's about call in sick and vacation/personal days.

Lol, so silly.

Okay, was there mass vacations? Seems like service was uninterrupted.
