Nothing happened to make anybody believe that it was a permeant transfer.

You mean other than the idiot admitting he used Rittenhouse's money and then said he knew it was illegal to do so? I suggest you read the transcripts.

This was the 18/19 year old so not sure who said it was stolen.

Everything you said is sourced in this article. Also, way at the bottom, last paragraph:

Though Mr. Rittenhouse had not asked permission to take the gun along, Mr. Black said he did nothing to dissuade Mr. Rittenhouse from doing so when they went downtown, intending to help guard several used-car lots.

I don't ever recall hearing anything about "stolen" in any testimony..I guess it's possible I missed, but don't think so.

I like how Binger pointed the rifle at the jury..what a dolt.

A vague inference admittedly.

Trying to find the exact quote but fruitless so far.

Why does tubby keep saying the opposite of what he means? I think he is slipping up or trying to confuse the jury.

Paywall.

What I read earlier was that Black admitted he made a straw purchase and knew it was illegal. He's screwed and rightly so.

Well, it's all up to the jury now.

Hope outside forces won't sway any of their verdicts.

Ah, sorry .

As above, I've yet to find his exact quote and I surely do not disagree with the straw purchase.

As you said, idiots.

Could have simply said he gave it to KR as a gift.

Pay attention, we're not discussing the charges against Rittenhouse.

I'm not sure of the Illinois and Wisconsin firearms gifting laws but it would have been difficult to claim that considering he used Rittenhouse's money. I'm pretty sure they would have found that if they investigated.

Oh for sure. The evidence exists in spades.

I'm saying that there could have been a legal route for Black. However, that dude is screwed.

Definitely problematic giving him custody of the rifle. As I understand, Kyle was to get the rifle after he turned 18. But if he hadn't had the rifle with him in Kenosha, and nothing happened, would it have be illegal for Black to buy and hold it till Rittenhouse turned 18?

Even still, it would be a felony (straw purchase) because KR wasn't legally able to purchase.

However, he was not restricted from owning a rifle or shotgun.

There was a clear legal path here and Black and/or KR chose to not follow it.

I’d bet my firstborn that Aaron Rogers was not on that bus.

It was weird in that it was in the middle of the convoy. The windows were so weird too. It was like a gutted white schools bus and the windows were not just blacked out, it appeared to be made of something more solid like wood or plastic covering them from the inside.
