Well, I mean technically he also had Multiple Myeloma... so I would argue he died of Covid complicated by his cancer most likely.

Yeah. They said that his blood cancer treatment required the suppression his immune system, so even vaccinated he had no biological infrastructure to fight the virus. He died from COVID complications, but it was the cancer medication killed him.

He probably was given Monoclonal Antibodies too. They probably threw the proverbial kitchen sink at him, no doubt, to compensate for his suppressed immunize system.

RIP Mr. Powell.

RIP Colin Powell. Sadly, his sales pitch to the UN concerning the Iraq War taints his legacy. In that sense, he was a 'loyal solider' for the wrong cause. Moreover, he shared the flaw/characteristic of side-stepping his thinking in favour of serving his political masters in the George W Bush admin.

Like General Norman Schwarzkopf (1934- 2012), he didn't sink under the U.S. Army's near breaking point in the Vietnam War.

But his time as Reagan's Nation Security Advisor is where he started to shine. He oversaw the Gulf War (1991) from the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff's chair. Curiously, Schwarzkopf served as the commander of coalition forces in the Gulf War. If Powell had died in the mid-90s, his legacy secure, I would have found it easier to reflect on his career.

May he finally find the weapons of mass destruction that Saddam was hiding.

Being snarky, may he rest in peace, and my best wishes to his family.
