Hi ATS! Recently I read a article about a mother writing to a advice column about her son's creepy list. Now what made her son's list creepy was he would write down all his classmates misdeeds such as misuse of pronouns, fat jokes, and having a family member in the police force. You see dear old mom only had one problem with all that and it was that her son was keeping track of people of color!! She was OK with her sons surveillance but spying on kids of color was her red line.

If you watch the headlines you probably remember the daughter who turned in her folks after Jan 6th and the other kid in Australia who turned his dad in so you shouldn't be as shocked. It seems education and entertainment are gearing the children of today into becoming big brothers new eyes and ears. Anyways what do you think? Here is a link to the mentioned article.

Having kids myself I am tearing my mind apart trying to figure out ways of getting them to understand it's all #

When I was a kid, like in the 2nd or 3rd grade I believe, my dad set our house on fire and burned it down. I don't know exactly how he did it, but I do remember it had something to do with the electrical outlet. He woke us up in the middle of the night, we crawled to an outlet where I remember him setting the fire, and then we crawled out of the house as it filled with smoke. Later, at the hospital, after they had checked us for smoke inhalation, the cops came and questioned me and I told them what I saw: my dad setting the house on fire. Funny thing is, my dad was there with me and he kept denying it and I remember being SO confused.

The moral of my story is this: Children are mostly innocent. They don't understand that they are supposed to lie unless otherwise told or groomed to do so. And cops are intimidating. Like me, those kids you mentioned probably felt that they HAD to "turn in" their parents. And like me, they probably didn't know they were turning in their parents, just answering a question asked by an authority figure.

Anyways, as for the kid's creepy list, it is definitely weird. But I blame it on social media and the MSM. The whole Black thing is stupid, the kid wasn't listing things that pertained to the specific race of anyone as far as the article goes, so why did the mom feel it necessary to bring race up? Also, it didn't say anything about the school being involved. If I were that mom, I might bring it up somehow to the school personnel and see what they might be teaching the kids. Are they pushing that kind of behavior, in regards to watching people and paying attention to the stuff they do? It's weird, for sure.

I believe school/education is very important for children. And Parents are there to help teach their kids common sense, respect, and how to be well-rounded good people.

Like the movie "Harriet the Spy" with a modern racist twist.
Honestly years back I had a neighbor, a vile middle aged woman who literally kept files on everything about everybody on our street she didn't like and was actually well known for calling authorities on people just out of spite. I think it's an inclination partly born with but under certain circumstances and the right conditions, a trait like this can be properly cultivated into something nefarious.

Disturbing stuff mate and quite reminiscent of the child spies in George Orwell's 1984 reporting on 'symptoms of unorthodoxy'

Looks like life is now imitating art in the U.K as the 'Covert Intelligence Bill' authorizes in law the employment of children as 'covert human intelligence sources'.

Cheers.

CHUMINTs.

Reminds me of the word "chuman".

Care for a weird sight? Look at the "scientific classification box" for this Wiki article:

en.wikipedia.org...

... getting closer

To the OP:

Yeah, employment of kids as spies on their families and others was a hallmark of totalitarian governments in the last century.

When I was around 10 or 11 years old, the CB craze was big and I would make lists of people I heard on the radio and any information I could find like real names, addresses, type of vehicle, etc. But I never had any intentions of anything other than knowing who these people were. It sounds like this kid had a hit list of sorts, a list of "bad people" who need "correction". Very creepy indeed.

I didn't read it that way. It did not seem her only concern with the list, was with her son keeping track of people of color.

I think the story itself was more creepy than the list he was supposedly keeping.

It smells to high heaven of a fake story, planted to keep tensions high, hate blooming, and divisions increasing. Stories like this are spreading around the internet like kudzu.

For those that have never had to deal with kudzu.

Kudzu is a plant that is native to Japan. It was brought to America as a solution to soil erosion. It stretches and expands across pastures, fields and gardens, its vines smothering and choking everything in their path including native species, wild spaces and even structures. Kudzu can grow 12 feet a day.

Kudzu can grow anywhere. It loves heat. Poor soil conditions does not slow it down. It is perennial. It has deep roots, and is nearly impossible to dig out.

Like much of the information spread on the internet, the plant’s physiology consists of a main crown with smaller crowns that can sprout on their own. Pulling it out of the ground isn’t the best way to deal with it. Because of the plant’s makeup, it
all must be killed or it can easily return.

You could be right the whole things seemed so absurd I figured it had to be real! This was the part of the article that led me to figure her main gripe was him watching the children of colors misgivings.

Another concern is that we are white and some of the kids on the list are Black. Given the long history of white people policing Black existence, I question whether Jack is the right person to be taking on this task and whether it would be more appropriate coming from a BIPOC person.

She seemed fine with his policing of all other actions in my opinion but who knows about this stuff anymore. My biggest concern was this kid could be pushed to punish those kids on his list because he sees them as criminals when they just seemed like average middle schoolers to me. In all honesty how he didn't have a bigger list policing a middle school is also shocking.

Your right children are innocent and they usually don't have no idea on stuff like that but the kids I mentioned above were more so teenagers two of them did it for social media clout. My problem with that is where will this escalate to with cancel culture on the rise kids can bring what was said in the privacy of your own home to light. Absolutely if something is wrong a kid should day something but if grandpa says something racist should he be reported and shamed.

rather reminded me of both the German Nazis, and the Russian Communists. which would be where George Orwell got it from (and where liberals like democrats of today got the idea). in both cases children indoctrinated into both political/belief systems routinely "ratted out" their parent's, and anyone else for that matter, including other children, and their parents, for "bad thoughts and behavior" (read thoughts and deeds that were against, or even just questioning the party political ideals and ideologies), in their "innocence". that childlike innocence got many people tortured, killed, or sent to their individual versions of death camps. the kids, because of their innocence, plus their indoctrination, made the perfect spies and snitches. and those kids were rewarded for turning those people, especially parents in.

Always been a fantastic contributor Karl.

The playbook for marching a population to Marxism is clearly recognized
when one knows what to look for and doesn't just ignore it. While I'm
amazed at the swiftness of the elite I am unsurprised by their success.
These things we must pass thru with out fear. Only with courage will we
not turn away from what must come to pass.

They have been conditioning us for well over half a century. They are great master chefs. They have prepared us deliberately, sometimes nicely, sometimes cruelly, but slow. Like a grooming for a perfect foie gras.

To produce “foie gras” (the French term means “fatty liver”), workers ram pipes down the throats of male ducks twice each day, pumping up to 2.2 pounds of grain and fat into their stomachs, or geese three times a day, up to 4 pounds daily, in a process known as “gavage.” The force-feeding causes the birds’ livers to swell to up to 10 times their normal size. Many birds have difficulty standing because their engorged livers distend their abdomens, and they may tear out their own feathers and attack each other out of stress.

Sound familiar, or is it just my warped mind making comparisons that others don't see?

Most know what is happening. We understand, and know how this is going to play out. We are just turning a blind eye and a deaf ear, for as long as we can, because we are too afraid to accept that our time is nearly up.

As the song so artfully says, we find it convenient to turn away from that we don't feel comfortable dealing with, feigning ignorance of those things we refuse to understand.

When we accept what's happening, we become participants, promoting all that we know is wrong. We try to reject this in our minds and hearts, but are trapped into joining the crowd, where we don't want to be, but are too afraid.

We find ourselves in the darkness, surprised at how easy we got there. We try to black out the wrongs that occur when we do nothing. When we turn away from the light, burying ourselves in the darkness.

We will have to take full credit for society we create when we just stand, and stare. Watching, never doing. Blaming others while never taking responsibility for how our turning away from the light, leads all of us directly down the path of darkness.

Great song. But we don't seem to listen or learn.

That is crazy as if it was hard enough in the U.K. I'm going to guess that covert human intelligence is another way to monitor people's social media accounts. "Ungovernable savages" I wonder if that means if the kid didn't get what he wanted he could let slip a lie to get Ole mom and dad in trouble.

Except that the school system today does not teach education but mostly sexual and political insane propaganda, NOT common sense.

Hitler's youth wwere a bit like that after the indoctrination for the nation camps. I hope people are starting to see where this NWO came from. I often wondered where all that loot from the third Reich ended up. It has obviously been financing the fourth Reich.

Looks like the schools/education system is already destroying the next generation with this nonsense.
The kid will grow up in the wrong way.
They plan to turn children agaisnt their parents/family.

I agree. That's why I said it's the parent's job to teach common sense. Schools are for math and science and such stuff that I am no good at. But, yea, I agree that the education system is getting out of hand and I do think that something needs to be done.

Yea, it's hard to say. With all the media coverage and lies they spout, people are more brainwashed than ever, especially young adults and teens. Most people do not know how to think/feel for themselves. If the news/government/cops tell them they need to do something, most will do it without question. It's pretty sad.
