Multiple lots of Parent’s Choice Rice Baby Cereal sold across the nation at Walmart and online have been voluntarily recalled after testing ‘above the guidance’ for naturally occurring inorganic arsenic Maple Island Inc., which manufactures the product for Walmart, issued the recall with the knowledge of the FDA. Walmart has also pulled the product from its shelves and placed a ‘register block’ on it to stop any further sales.

Nevermind. I looked into Maple Island Inc. Apparently they are a small manufacturer based in Minnesota. Have somewhere between 11 and 50 employees according to their LinkedIn. Another site said they had about 90 employees.

I'd check to see where the packaging is sourced.

Nice thread Signals and looked a bit into this a while back - when it comes to the high levels of 'inorganic' arsenic in baby food then preliminary investigations indicated that the use of a dangerous additive labelled 'vitamin mineral premix' was a major contributing factor.

There are also reasons to believe that corporate testing policies are attempting to hide the truth from the public (and the U.S. Congressional investigation).

Toxic Heavy Metals In Baby Food.

Cheers.

Anyone who feeds their babies or children commercial baby food needs their head examined.

We would have much preferred to breastfeed, but my wife wasn't able to (long story, she really, REALLY wanted to but it was just physically impossible), but second best option was the Weston Price homemade baby formulas.

We raised our oldest on the raw milk formula, and the twins on their liver formula, and they have done amazing, thriving in fact.

And they're all totally unjabbed and will remain so as long as I and my wife have anything to say about it.

This is horrific. And as another poster responded... from WHERE did this product originate ?

China ?

It reminds me of all the toxic, chemically-laced baby clothing and baby bottles that went sent to the United States from China.

It appears it is USA made, not sure where the ingredients are from.

I do know that USA grown rice tends to have higher amounts of arsenic, because of insecticides in the ground, used in farming in the earlier parts of the 20th century.
