Facebook is still down through comcast. It just partially works through Verizon. It may be just what is in memory

I've been reading a lot in the past hour or so already and people all over the world have been commenting that their internet connection has become clunky as well. Could it have something to do with this Facebook etc. outage as well?

Haven't been on there since 2017, my quality of life and mood improved within days of stopping the platform. I never did get into other social media platforms with the exception of LinkedIn which I only use for recruiters to contact me and to see about job postings. Other than that, ATS is my social media.

Power failure is a blatant lie. Someone pwned major parts of our infrastructure. The DNS servers, and Facebooks servers are distributed and redundant. A single power failure cannot do this.

You've been lucky if you've worked in IT for so long and never witnessed someone fat finger their way into a disaster.

Facebook pushed out a bad infra config. It happens.

Lives lost due to facebook outage? I would argue lives have probably been saved because of this.

Now congress is worried that Facebook is damaging children's minds. I don't see any parents organizing rallies to demand congress 'save' their children from Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp, so I wonder what congress is extorting this time?

Watch who congress goes after, what changes they make and how it affects the flow of information. It can't get much more biased than it already is, but I bet there will be a lot of focus and push on a new agenda.

I've been seeing a lot of those "this is your brain on bias" memes on social media. The irony.

And yes, social media is hurting our impressionable youth. TikTok, Instagram and Twitter are all experiments in hive mind activity and viral psychology that has illustrated to a painful degree how easily tricked kids are into saying, doing, or promoting awful ideas for "clout" or internet points because that's what they think being successful looks like.

It smells like a psyop. Has she been sued by Facebook yet? Any injunctions yet? I know about whistleblowers since I was one, in 1997 to 2000 on a $150 million tax and public funds fraud involving a government ministers, university, bank, stock broker and a $100 million private company that I owned about 32% of. They go HARD against whistleblowers, especially when it can collapse universities, corporations and governments. I lost $32 million and everyone involved got injunctions (gag orders) to protect the higher education system and the government from the scandal that would have ensued.

The same applies here. If there are no injunctions and gag orders, it's a marketing ploy/psyop aimed at a specific agenda. In this case it might be "all social media can be bad, we had better reign it in and destroy all the little guys who we don't have control over."

It doesn't pass the smell test....

That's what they're telling internal folks at least, buddy of mine works there he's playing video games because not only did it take out the site itself but also their internal infrastructure that relies on the certificates.

I will say this.....work VPN for government connection on government computer.....even THAT is not working.
Left the house for lunch.....

Also, my SiriusXm was changing channels all on its own. It has NEVER EVER EVER done that before.

I've had BPM on Sirius online playing all day without any issues. I haven't had any issues with Office 365 and most other sites. It doesn't hurt my feelings that Facebook is down. They can stay down for all I care.

Her complaint is that Facebook doesn't sensor enough and she wants the govt. to step in and enforce more stringent sensoring.

My guess is we'll find out she has ties to some leftist PAC.
