“Do you mean like drivers license, registration and proof of insurance?”
Apples and oranges. Soooo tired of people with the response that requesting vaccination records at checkpoints is no different than a cop asking for your drivers license and registration. They’re totally different.
Driving is voluntary. Catching a virus is not.
Driving without a license (or an expired license) is a misdemeanor, in most cases; a misdemeanor won’t prevent you from entering public areas or going to work. Not having proof of vaccination WILL, in some cities.
And lastly, police typically enforce criminal law—not private health matters. To do so criminalizes those who are less than perfectly healthy.
There’s your ‘context’.
