Anyone using xfinity/Comcast

I’ve been noticing a trend when browsing ATS. If I’m using my home network with my phone ATS is practically at a stand still. It takes forever to do anything. Loading posts, flagging or starring, responding or posting. However if I use my mobile network everything loads fine. So I was just wondering if anyone else who uses xfinity or Comcast have noticed this as well.

I have Spectrum internet and experience the same thing.

I'm thinking it may be US based in general.

When I point my VPN outside of it, seems to work much better.

Nope! I get the same thing in NW Mexico.

Haven't tried there, north and over the pond though

Can’t believe I just read this. I just asked my wife a hour ago , we’re both having the same issue. Northeast Pennsylvania here.

Xfinity for internet via wireless.

No problems currently in CA.

But there have been outages in the past.

I use express VPN with xfinity and load times are much better!

Your location would count more here than your claim alone, considering I have Comcast myself (Michigan) Other than their normal overpriced-for-what-it-is bull#, load times and so forth are normal and generally always are for me, even on ATS.

The only times my connection gets iffy is when there's Comcast-end work being done somewhere and it knocks us offline for a few hours. They usually do that overnight, how courteous of 'em.

Bottom line is, could be trunk work being done outside the local network There's a whole bunch of companies between Your Local Comcast network, and ATS' server. They have to do work on the lines at some point, too. And the hubs.


Also, just how old is your computer? Is it by chance obsolete? For example, maxed on RAM, unable to keep up for the era? What are ya running here, something with 4GB RAM rig, or something more recent like 16?

I have Comcast, no issues when using it on any device.

To add: at the hour and half hour....while people post....seems to hang up...no matter the server ...

Load times are faster using the Express VPN, than Xfinity alone?
Are you in the U.S.?
And are you in an urban area?

It may be your modem. I received an E-mail a few weeks ago that my modem would no longer be able to connect to Xfinity by mid October or so.

Maybe your area is ahead of mine so maybe look into that.
I have noticed a slowing here as well.

The new modem sits on the table but I can’t get to the basement (in a wheelchair) so I’m waiting on help.

I only use ATS on my phone. Except once when I just built my gaming machine. Even on there it was laggy. Every other website I visit loads fine…
