It literally took a couple of seconds that's all...so not a bird!
Also horizontal across the screen, so doesn't tie in with where the lava is and not orange as you would expect!

Thank you, just happened to catch my eye. So re-wound the play back several times and then had to figure out how to do a screengrab. I'm a total technophobe! lol!
I can't remember which broadcast it was on though unfortunately
Must remember to take better screengrabs.
Even a drone wouldn't appear like this thing did!
Please feel free to start the thread yourself as I'm sure you are more technically minded to be able to track which station and the whole thing flying across. It was super fast!

What works for me ...

Rollback the playtime a few minutes... Then it plays no problem... Maybe they have a delay built in it .. Just in case a huge eruption blows... Lots of people would freak ...warranted or not

PR tsunami buoy reading different pattern?

I’ve been watching it for 2 days now the pattern you see in the beginning was what the whole display was 2 days ago.

Given that buoy's location within the Caribbean any tsunami from the Canary Islands would have already passed by the Leeward and Windward Islands.

Not sure why it's reporting differently the last two days. Could have something to do with it being a full moon right now. Only speculating.

In the short time since the eruption, the new cone is taking shape.


It's becoming immense!

They stopped the live feeds. It seemed to be getting bigger with a greater eruption and new fissures openingg up. Now all we see is a view of another area thats not affected but background noise consistent with the eruption.
Is it getting too bad to be broadcasted?

It is really weird how when you search for live videos on YouTube they're all rebroadcasts of the one feed from TV Canarias. I know the are is evacuated, but I would still think that news crews in some capacity would be allowed in at their own peril. Thousands of journalists and their crews go into active war zones and other disasters all the time, after all, so this shouldn't be any different.

The lava is now on the march to the sea after new opening, last night. Here is a live feed that shows some of the historic building in the lava's path.


This Live Feed shows how large the new cone has grown. People in the background are watching while drinking coffee and dining. WOW! I guess if the evacuation routs are blocked (I read that one or maybe both of the tunnels leading out are now closed), well, you might as well enjoy the view.

is that right?

The lava shooting out seems to have speeded up. Increased pressure on the vents?
Do we know if the deformation has increased from 19cms a couple of days ago?

Not sure, but it's getting more active. This photo shows it ejecting it's magma.
