Tonight we are having Sockeye Salmon (I say it Sammun, I just hate when people say SALLLLLLLLahmOOn)

*cough*

A nice Salmon, a side of brussel sprouts cooked with bacon and balsamic vinegar, the bacon portion may or may not be bigger than the brussel sprout portion, sesame spinach and some white steamed rice. Sorry, but I have to eat steamed rice at least once a day or I don't feel human.

What's cooking at your home tonight?

Tonight I'm having Atlantic Samon, crispy skinned. Like you I enjoy it with rice, but, I prefer day old rice fried up with, chopped onion & garlic, capsicum, tomatoes, green Sicilian olives, cashew nuts and a little bit of chilli.

Yum, yum.

Planning on serving it with some green beans, cuz that's what I had.

I make a lot of dishes with a similar sauce and it's sooo good!

I actually grew a new plant this year, Sesame seeds! Not sesame leaves, but the actual plant that produces the seeds. It's really weird looking. I didn't plant a lot, but it's super cool. I wanted to see how different the taste is very very freshly roasted and used.

Tonight I am cooking. I have turkey legs roasting in the oven right now and will make mashed sweet potatoes and corn on the cob to go with it.

We had sockeye last night, and it's something that we have to have with rice, too.

I wish you had asked this on Sunday when my wife made Japanese curry.

We made chicken soup with garden veggies, lots of fresh herbs, ginger, turmeric, and... lots of white rice thrown in for filler.

...Just decided I'm adding some Nishiki rice to the mix also for dinner. (you just had to say rice! Then I was like..."yeah, rice!"

(with a little fermented Kimchi on the side). SOOooooooo good!

I love rice! (more than I should).

Mexican! We call it the "Tres Hombres Platter". (From ZZ Top's album)
There's a fantastic Mexican restaurant around the corner. We get 4 combo plates that have tacos, enchiladas, relenos and lots of beans & rice. From the grocery store we got some fresh avadacdos, peppers, and limes. Three different cheeses.
Washed down with ice cold Modelo Negra.

Some bad humor:

A body at rest will remain at rest unless it is acted upon by an external force = Newton's Law

Shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, mayonaise, salt and pepper = Cole's Law

Wife brought home a big bag of apples and a box of raspberries. We have some peaches that are turning too.
I just made the dough for a deep dish apple, peach and raspberry pie for dessert. Yum Yum!
I made a beer batter with a bit of dill in it.
Lobster, Scallops and Haddock will be deep fried.

Corn chowder.
Pan fried whitefish.
Green beans with diced garlic and butter.
Properly prepared french fries.
Good coffee.

I cheated, though.
It was a local fish house.

Hmm, I had teriyaki glazed Atlantic salmon and Parmesan Brussels sprouts a few days ago with some first-time attempted garlic cauliflower rice using a a half a bulb of fresh garlic. Fantastic. And to be honest, I actually prefer the Brussels sprouts cold (baked until slightly browned, outer leaves crispy, tossed with Parmesan cheese, and chilled) so I make enough for left overs.

Tonight it's a chicken and shrimp arepa, yuca fries, and a couple of tacos autenticos from the Latin place down the road.
