USSS, FBI and DHS task forces were set up ahead of Biden remarks to monitor “violent revolt speech” online, per US official

What's your point?

I am advocating for due process under the law and the Constitution of the United States.

Violence will solve nothing. It will only make things worse, much worse.

They know what they are doing is flat out wrong, illegal, immoral, and any other kind of ugly so they are afraid. And because they are afraid, they are going to attempt to criminalize any condemnation of their illegal seizure of authority.

We don't have a Monarchy in the USA. Apparently they think otherwise.

First, I was supporting your thread title.

Second, in the age of 'silence is violence', I'm certain you're aware that *they* (however you want to define them) get to decide what they see as threatening, regardless of how much due process you think you're advocating for.

We are in the victor takes the spoils stage of the game. They don't plan to take any dissent lightly.

That's where we are now.

I guess if I have to make a point on the general topic, it would be this: the American system you thought you had is over. We are a new uncharted territory now. I have no idea what comes next, but I'm certain it's probably not good.

And why shouldn't they? They control every major institution now- at least the ones that really matter.

For people horrified by this, I hate to say it, but too many of us had our heads in the sand for too long...and it's probably too late to do very much about it.

The problems we face today will likely take decades if not generations to fix.

Agreed! Wasn't sure of your intended meaning at first. Thx for the clarification.

Me either, but here's something to think about. For a while now I've been trying to figure something out. There colossal sums of money amassed by the middle class in things like 401k's, pensions, retirement plans, etc. These monies have, up to this point, remained out of reach to the elites to steal. It is a vast un-mined resource for their thievery. Maybe this is how they finally gain access to that money...by crushing the economy and then shorting the stock market into oblivion with hedge funds, capitalizing on everyone's losses to their gain, until all the money is gone/stolen.

A market crash on the order of 50%-75% is no doubt on the horizon. That range represents a reversion to the mean. It may seem to some like that amount is an impossibility, but only to those you aren't paying attention. Frankly, it could be even more than that, so let's just call that range a reasonably conservative one.

If your 401k plan allows for it, I'd be moving large portions of your holdings into cash. But don't listen to me. I'm just some anonymous guy on the internet. Do your own research and make decisions accordingly.

Bill Clinton got impeached for lying to the American public, not for actually doing the act of sexual intercourse.

You are only half correct. He was not impeached "for lying to the American public". He was impeached for lying, under oath, in a deposition to the court. That is called perjury, and is in fact, against the law perishable by fines and/or time in prison.

Lying to the public, while reprehensible, is not against the law. Lying to the court is.
