Sinopharm develops new shots for variants

While it is clear these new vax won't be approved in the west where government is keen to sell ineffective boosters to make more money, China's state owned Sinopharm says they have developed boosters that target the genomes of newer strains. Methinks it is a bad idea. More vax will force the virus to mutate more to counter, causing an endless self-reinforcing cycle that does not terminate the pandemic. Keep mind mind, the 1890 pandemic, the 1918 pandemic, the 2009 pandemic all lasted about a year before fizzling because there was no vax.

They have to do this because they’re using the old fashioned approach of using an inactivated virus for their vaccine. It started out with a lower effectiveness than the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines and has been losing ground. As the predominant virus variant changes, they have to use the latest variant to keep their vaccine relevant. All the vaccines that target the spike protein (which is almost everyone else’s) seem to retain their effectiveness longer.

I’m not sure SinoPharm is trying to license this in the west. It is aimed at less developed countries in Africa, Asia, and South America.

The darn jabs is what is making more infections, spreading and more sickness, people still do not get it.
