The Chinese do have a point here. One of the early signs of a country/empire about to collapse is homosexuality. Too many "girly men" leads to ineffectual armed forces. Then the Barbarians one day show up at the gates and the party's over.

During the Japanese occupation of China back in the 30s & 40s the male chinese slaves were forced into non-traditional, feminine roles in society to humiliate and demean them as a culture. Standard tactics the Chinese readily employ themselves when out on a conquest. The US is all about adding to it's LGBT1A2SQ+ vernacular. I'm thinking there's a connection.
