Afghanistan was not a failure

Afghanistan was not a failure. The top Defense Contractors performed almost 60% better than the stock market since the occupation began.

We probably could have ended the Taliban years ago if we eradicated the Poppi fields (their main source of income). Supposedly the U.S.A. did not have "the resources" to eradicate the Poppi fields though, which is interesting since even the Taliban were able to eliminate opium production when they first took power.

Imagine your Big Oil and you want pipeline access, but there is an ongoing and constant civil war making things rather inconvenient. Well, eventually you would realize your best shot is to make a deal with the Taliban, whom can conveniently rule with an iron fist, and help protect your interests. Hence Trump making the deal, and also having received donations from 11 different energy billionaires.

At this point, its just a matter of discreetly handing over resources to the Taliban to help keep the rouge war-lords in check. Hence, Afghan forces surrendering all that military equipment.

The best part is that it's Win/Win. If things go south, then here come more giant defense contracts for Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, Boeing, General Dynamics, etc.

Interestingly, it looks like China is looped in on this awesome deal too. My guess is they'll probably get dibs on the Lithium, among other things.

Not to mention, what a nice "major media event." People aren't even really talking about lableak stuff anymore. Im sure Fauci is quite pleased.

This has nothing to do with oil.

America was oil independent under Trump.

This was/is about rare earth metals for the green new deal. So of course China will swoop in, they are our competition. Biden just gave away the libs wet dream about "renewable" energy to combat climate change. But even that boils down to profit for the elite off the sweat of the working man.

Bloody hypocrites.

Patently false, we still imported millions of barrels of oil during Trump's administration.

So true a post I've read so far. Now, watch as the heroin in states goes way way down. When Taliban wiped out poppy fields early on the supply then went through east Asia then Russia.. We were never there for terrorists...terrorist were the excuse to be there. Supporting the poppy fields and opium production is why we were there....opium from Afghanistan is for illicit illegal use all over the world...mind you most opium for medical use is grown on giant farms in New Zealand where the use the entire plant and derive multiple meds from it...most of them pain killers. The fact that these defense contractors made billions is lost to most because MSM want talk about it. War is a business and if ran well a damn lucrative one at that.

Because we don't have the capacity or infrastructure to refine the oil we extract domestically. Saudi light sweet crude and related petroleum is what we've been primarily set up to refine and still need to import that while exporting some of our own oil.

You know, I was going to argue with you when I read the title, but upon reading the body of the text, I believe you are right.

Don't worry, now we have a more potent drug on the market, produced by the same nation which will mine Afghanistan for minerals.
