I'm putting this in General Conspiracies because the video covers a wide variety of topics. Mods please move if you feel different.

Here's the music video. The lyrics may be offensive to some. I'll tell you my favorite part but that's not really what this is about.

My big aha moment is the first topic in the video. We have one day to remember our veterans yet a whole month for people that are gay, transgender and bi. I have no problem with gay people, to each their own. They too have a story and it's worth a listen if they choose to tell you.

The thing that is really interesting is how many views this video has in the last 5 days. It was released August 13th, 5 days ago, 7,200 minutes. According to my math that's just over 455 views a minute! I'm sure it's not some kind of record or anything but sometimes I feel like everyone has lost their mind. Then I see this and I feel a little better having a critical thinking sort of mentality.

Don't attack the messenger, I'm not Tom MacDonald, I just found some of the things interesting.

I'm not Tom MacDonald

Well, I'm Tom McDonald ... in the sense anyone thinking or knee-jerking against the herd are all McDonald's. Are his fans called Happy Meals?

I am not a fan of mainstream, poppy anything post 1986ish... and especially dislike auto-tuned hip-hoppy-rappy pop sounds.

But if they make some mainstream pop drone start to question things, then wonderful.

More questions the better these days.

Saw the video back on Friday, when it came out.

Since you mentioned the part about pride month, I'd like to add that I think It's absolutely fine they have time set aside for it, but wish it was moved to a different month... July maybe?

It seems to me that it shouldn't overshadow (maybe that's the wrong word?) Father's Day.

I just feel that May is to celebrate mothers, June should be to celebrate fathers and the pride celebration should have it's own distinct time for celebration.

The year has a lot of days in it.

Awesome.

Not big on the music, but the message is absolutely spot on.

I agree, let's have that conversation ......

I love many music genres but I just can't listen to rap and hip hop. My mind just rejected it from day one!
So I looked up the lyrics. He's right on. He describes TPTB and their divide and conquer tactics to a T.

Brainwashed
...by Tom MacDonald
Half the country fell asleep but they scream woke
We're distracted by vaccines and TV shows
Politics, celebrity, gossip, popular neat quotes
Black lives, white lives, which lives mean most?
We only dedicate one day to remember our fallen soldiers
The men and women who died young
But if you come out the closet as Caitlyn Jenner
You're a hero and you get a whole pride month
The most dangerous pandemic's propaganda from these clowns
Only mask that's gonna save us is duct tape on they mouths
Don't speak, we don't need to defund police
Need to defund the media who lies through they teeth, like
Big pharma doesn't cure you, dog
'Cause every patient that gets cured is a customer lost
And big oil runs the world, the only wars that get fought
Are with the countries who have natural resources they want

Heard 'em claiming if a white man braids his hair
And likes rap, he's appropriating culture
But if a white man acts too white he's white trash
He's a racist, he's a bigot, he's a monster

Let's just have the conversation
Not every liberal is dumb, not all Republicans are racist
The government wants everybody fighting with their neighbors
'Cause they know that if we get along, we'll probably go against 'em

They can't stop us 'cause we're ready to fight
Try to brainwash us but we won't let freedom die
The whole world's brainwashed
Everybody pick a team, start a riot in the streets
The whole world's brainwashed
It's us against them, it ain't you against me

How did monkeys become people and people turned into sheep?
They put fluoride in the water that's keeping us all asleep
Claim they want what's best for us, I find that hard to believe
'Cause they been selling us cigarettes since we was eighteen
Fake news, fake woke, distract, and divide
You're either right or you're left or you're black or you're white
Big tech don't need a microchip to hack in your life
'Cause the phone inside your pocket is a tracking device
And I don't know what I'm more sick of, rappers or Joe Biden
Looking like he ate a hundred Xanax for dinner
'Cause censoring the president and kicking him off Twitter
Is a bigger threat to freedom than foreign ballistic missiles
You don't trust the police or the government but you want
People giving up their right to own a firearm
Why would you be comfortable if police and the government
The only people on the planet with the right to buy a gun
White privilege getting amplified to reinforce division
It convinces white people that they're favored by their skin
And black people getting angry 'cause they're told they're treated different
So the conflict is between us and never with the system

Let's just have the conversation
Not every liberal is dumb, not all Republicans are racist
The government wants everybody fighting with their neighbors
'Cause they know that if we get along, we'll probably go against 'em

They can't stop us 'cause we're ready to fight
Try to brainwash us but we won't let freedom die
The whole world's brainwashed
Everybody pick a team, start a riot in the streets
The whole world's brainwashed
It's us against them, it ain't you against me

Step one, train the people only to consume
Step two, infiltrate adults with the news
Step three, indoctrinate the children through the schools
And the music and the apps on the phones that they use
Step four, separate the right from the left
Step five, separate the white from the black
Step six, separate the rich from the poor
Use religion and equality to separate 'em more
Step seven, fabricate a problem made of lies
Step eight, put it on the news every night
Step nine, when people start to fight and divide
Take control, this is called situational design

They can't stop us 'cause we're ready to fight
Try to brainwash us but we won't let freedom die
The whole world's brainwashed
Everybody pick a team, start a riot in the streets
The whole world's brainwashed
It's us against them, it ain't you against me

This is the third time I've seen this video shared in as many days. I've listened to his music over the past 2 years as he is a favorite artist of my son's. His lyrics here and in a few other recent tracks are spot on. He's not afraid to say anything because he has no huge record label telling him what he can or can't do. I encourage others to look up some of his other songs. You don't have to like the style of music to appreciate the message being conveyed.

THANK YOU for posting this. I’ve been meaning to post some songs by him and similar artists for a while now. Tom McDonald, Chris Webby, and Prozak have been coming out with songs that really hit home like this lately. I totally get people not being into the STYLE, not liking rap/hip hop, but the # they say has been hitting home with the lyrics about today’s social climate. Raw Thoughts, Fake Woke, Clown Shoes are a few others of the top of my head worth looking up too, spread the word lol

You're welcome. People need to realize there are more than one narrative. Watching TV is really poisoning some peoples minds.

You are not alone if you think this clown show isn't right.

The conversation needs to happen, soon.

The people you see at the grocery store, at the dog park and at work, they are good people. If you don't agree with how they behave, ask them (don't do this at the grocery store tho). Honestly listen to what they say, everyone has something to say and some of them have something good.

There is something to learn in this time, with so much disinformation going on, you still have to mow your lawn.

I'm subscribed to this guy and listened to it immediately. The steps he mentioned are spot on. This guy puts together an amazingly accurate message with almost every song. This is the only rap I can listen to.

I can't stand hip hop or rap but I've been listening to Tom McDonald for about a year. He has some good stuff. Fake Woke is a great video he did not long ago. He definitely speaks his mind and connects with a lot of people.

People So Stupid, No Lives Matter, Snowflakes, and Castles are all very good, too.

Great song, society is definitely brainwashed, but I still trust freedom will prevail as he seems to believe. Was just watching some of his other videos and his song "Cancelled" has a pretty insane flow. He has real skill which not many rappers have, but a large ego to go along with it. The line "I'm not religious but I walk with Christians" has to be one of the most relatable lines in a song for me. It's funny how I joined ATS with such a combative attitude towards religion but after getting to know many Christians here I have a great respect for freedom of thought and understand that religion does help some people.

I'm pretty sure Tom MacDonald was never a 'mainstream pop drone'.

Tom is a good independent artist.. people who don't know him. He is not your usual mainstream entertainer.

He his not on a record label and resfuses and his music and videos are made by just him and his girlfriend Nova.

Good talent. I like all his other stuff aswell. Alot of what he said in this brainwashed are things he has already said over his other tracks. But this is a nice track to consolidate it all.

I know people from all walks of life, even the most dull and ignorant still have something to say. I listen to everyone. Everyone has a voice and if you don't listen, you are the ignorant one.

I'm glad to hear your mind is open enough to listen to people with different views. This is our great strength, yet nobody talks about it. You have the choice to speak your mind. You have the choice to take other opinions and weigh them against your own personal convictions.

Your personal view of life is not confined to yourself. If you chose to take that path you will eternally live in a silo of your own thoughts and self bias. Echo chamber of sorts.

The ego is a real thing, and it's powerful in humans. I can't be wrong, here's my link to prove my case. There's so much information out there, you can prove any case, whether right or wrong.

That's where we are right now, ego vs ego. I've transcended that plane of existance years ago and it seems you have too. I'd rather learn rather than fight for my right to hold an opinion.
