Canada’s 2021 federal election is officially a go Global News
Governor General Mary Simon has agreed to Trudeau's request to dissolve parliament and trigger the election early.
The election slated for October 2023 has been accelerated no next month.
Interesting that Trudeau is labeled "Liberal Leader" and not "Prime Minister" in that video...
So why call for an election 2 years early?
1-There is huge turmoil in Afghanistan again, and it's beyond a doubt that troops from Moose Country will be sent to help
2-Also, there is the massive tax issue we're about to see in the aftermath of financial supports like CERB in Canada
3- And if somehow vaccines gain full approval and Canada moves to total vaccine mandate of all citizens...
These are some humungous weapons to use against the Liberal party in the next 2 years
Perhaps they are trying to avoid a predicted fallout, an imminent and /or massive drop in popularity before 2023?
Erdogan did the same amidst crisis in 2018
His was a power move, to guarantee a few more years of control, even if you crap the bed for your country in a big way less than 12 months later.
Perhaps the same is happening here? What better time when the Liberals are in such a strong position right now?

Current Polls:
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, betting that his standing has been improved by his government’s response to the coronavirus pandemic while his main opponent has failed to gain traction with voters, on Sunday called a snap federal election for Sept. 20 in a bid to regain a majority in the House of Commons.
Trudeau, first elected prime minister in 2015, has led the country since October 2019 with a minority government. Winning a majority would mean he would no longer need to rely on opposition parties to advance his agenda and stay in power.
The next fixed election date was in October 2023, but a prime minister here may at any time request the governor general dissolve Parliament — the step that triggers an election. Trudeau, 49, met Governor General Mary Simon, Queen Elizabeth II’s representative in Canada, on Sunday, and she granted his request.
