This is a deployment to support evacuation of civilians. Very quick.

Remember all the wars we had going from 2017 to 2021.

Yes I know but from very personal experience things can go downhill very quickly and mission creep comes in.

It's a very dangerous and volatile situation and a fluid one.

Hands up who remembers October 2001 and the US hitting Afghanistan and getting those poppy field under control (#in lol) and the Taliban clearly stating that they exhausted the Russians for over 20 years until they withdrew and that the same fate would befall the House-of-War (aka: The great Satan, aka: The United States of America) - the Taliban would wear them down - slow and steady would win their race.

Low-and-behold - cue 20 years later and those prophetic words have come back to haunt said House-of-War.

Yeah I remember my mates being killed in Kajaki and thought similar and wish I had emergrated to Alaska instead and became a homesteader away from the crap (those folks have their crap together). And never have became a soldier:/

Step 1: Rescue Operation (what happened ? Why no rescue to begin with ? Hmmm).

Step 2: keep troops there until Taliban pulls back and stops.

Step 3: keep troops there (warmongers sigh of relief).

People forget, the people of Afghanistan supported the Taliban - they're not going to fight them now!

They're ideologically possessed. The speed at which they're retaking the land should not come as a surprise, the people support them!
