Eeeewww cold baked beans couldn't think of anything worst, definitely not a thing in the UK

The basic is egg bacon beans

But i always do a Sunday morning full English which is..

2x Fried Egg
2x Fried Smoked Bacon
2x Pork Sausages
Baked Beans
Tinned Plumb Tomatoes
Fred Button Mushrooms in butter
2x Sleces Black Pudding
2x Slices of toast (or french toast)

And im very fussy how its laid out because the flavors have to marry up on the plate

So... the baked beans go next to the eggs, the tinned tomatoes go on or next to the bacon, the black pudding next to the tomatoes soaking up the tomatoes juice like the bacon, the sausages next to the egg to dip in the yolk, the mushrooms next to the beans and tomatoes, and the toast on the outside on the tomatoes again soaking up the juice, PERFECT FULL ENGLISH

Some like hash-browns but i'm not a fan of them tbh if i do add to the above usual its a potato waffle instead

Fellow Canuck as well.
Beans has always been a staple for a big breakfast almost everywhere I went.
Maple beans...yes!
Cold beans...never seen that before either?

I'm a huge fan of the lumberjack breakfast because it has....EVERYTHING!!
Also, because I have a fast metabolism so I eat a lot.

The only British breakfast out of the ordinary that I know of is simmered and soaked salt cod fish with good toast. I have known people from England and they talk Rasher of bacon to go with their eggs. They like sausages too as long as they still get their rasher of bacon.

Maybe they had ulterior motives for serving cold beans.
Perhaps they were making tempeh from the leftover
beans and didn't want them overcooked .

A single rasher is no longer good enough.
That is because the producers add a lot of water to their product and sell it by weight. The result is that every rasher shrinks visibly in the cooking. I never take less than two.

My Lord.
I love the lumberjack.
Where I live we have Finish Pancakes.
The fins make a beautiful pancake. It’s sorta like a crepe, but soooo much better.
I get 3 fins. Bacon and sausage, the browns, scoop of beans, 2 eggs and 4 toasts.

Damn I’m hungry now.
Making Philly cheese steaks right now.

Keep in mind that English bacon is sliced fatback and not pork bellies.

East Tennessee (Knoxville area northward) serves cold baked beans, but not for breakfast. Rarely just canned beans but always baked in an oven (usually slices of bacon), cooled to room temperature and then kept refrigerated until time to serve. Homemade is served in the pan or casserole dish it was baked in to save on washing dishes. And most family recipes use mustard and grape jelly as opposed to ground mustard, ketchup (or tomato sauce), brown sugar and usually Worcestershire sauce (for savory taste).

Traditional East Tennessee breakfast is bacon, eggs (scrambled unless you wake early enough to request), biscuits and gravy, maybe some sausage hand pattied from ground sausage (sausage gravy), coffee, grits was never automatically put on my plate without my asking even in restaurants. Not so in other states. And you generally have plenty of biscuits as many people do large breakfasts and traveling/field lunches of several biscuits and bacon or sausage patties wrapped in wax paper or bandanas.

Yeah I usually wrapped a couple biscuits and bacon in a bandana in the cafeterias at UT and said I wasn’t sure if I would be back for lunch and that always negated the no removing food rule because it was just a local mindset as normal behavior.

There are a few versions of the lumberjack breakfast where I live, they just call it a different name.
The place I like to go has a good breakfast menu.
Their version of the lumberjack breakfast consists of 3 eggs (anyway you like them) bacon, sausage and ham, home fries, homemade baked beans, 3 pieces of toast and choice of beverage.

The second option is the same but they add a poutine with it.

Try them cold…….they taste much better……trust me….

It’s why on the back of the can, they say to heat them ‘gently’

Over heating them, ruins the flavour……

They are more flavourful cold………go on….give it a try……cold ‘Heinz’ beans are delicious

And one of the items you can add to your ‘end of the world survival food list’

A traditional Mexican breakfast includes refried beans, bacon, maybe a sausage of some sort, eggs over easy, and tortilla, along with some fried potato or something.
