Kevin Smith has gotten too 'woke' for anyone to expect anything different from him.
This is the best take I've seen on it so far.
Case of funny because it's true.
Even skeletor, his voice is kind of iconic. So what did they do? Got Mark Hamill to do yet another version of 'the joker'.
I swear it's the only voice Mr Luke Skywalker knows how to do.
Maybe Smith should of watched the 'Rocko's Modern Life' special/reboot. That showed you can reboot an old favourite yet remain true to the source.
Now it seems even the mini-series reboot of the 80's Transformers 'War For Cybertron' had to have a LGBT robot romance jammed into it. Show over all
was fine as is, but nope, had to shove that diversity in there.
Some snowflake even said something like 'finally real world representation reflected in a kids show' or something.
Yeah right, if it reflected the real world you'd have these 'diverse' characters in something like 1 in a 10000 shows, not every single one....
Instead we keep getting over representation.
Long past tired of my perfectly fine childhood being completely trashed by the woke snowflakes. I feel really bad for the kids who now get dumbed down
content in their cartoons, comics and books.
This time I am glad so many people got vocal about it. Mind you it still went over Smith and Co's heads. As expected always everyone elses fault but
their own.
Tired of the race swapping, gender changing, sexuality adding changes to long established characters. I mean isn't 'cultural appropriation' wrong?
lol, oh yeah rules for thee not for me.... I forgot, my bad.
Why can these people not go make their own characters and stories instead of stealing them?
Imagine if you tried to make a 'black panther' movie with a white actor playing the character. You'd get a tonne of crying from the same people who
defend such things when it's a white straight character being 'swapped', who often use such excuses as 'if the actor is talented enough their
race/gender/sexuality doesn't matter.'
Oh the hypocrisy of it all.
How about we just let kids be kids, and get back to having mindless entertainment be mindless entertainment instead of filling every damn thing with
politics.
And don't even get me started on 'pride month' nonsense that flooded my new Google chromecast and 6 year old Sony Android TV's home screens.
We're living in a time where the needs of the very few outweigh the needs of the many it seems. Having peoples crap forced on me doesn't make me
embrace it, it makes me turn it off. Hell it often has the opposite effect and makes me intolerant towards these things because it is so heavy
handed.
How do these companies not realise this?
No surprise that when when you give people an inch, they will take a mile.

I hate any/all romance. Most of the time, in any TV show or movie, a romance or a sex scene is
basically just stopping the story. I'd prefer commercials, because at least then I'd immediately know that it'll be a few more minutes before the
story continues.
But a kids' show especially doesn't need any romance of any kind, straight, bi, gay, or other.
And I'm just talking the female characters here.
Wow, what muscles!
And I thought we were supposed to oppose all that old-school "toxic" masculinity?
Apparently not, common ladies in 2021 - get ripped.
If you can't beat them join them.

and 'Prince Adam' who used to be as buff as he-man, got the opposite treatment and got made into a skinny pussy. Aside from making Teela turn gay, and
de-bulking Adam, they kept the over all style of the other characters from the OG cartoon and toys and even the vehicles still looked like the clunky
toys they were based on.
If they left the 'wokeness' out of it, it could of been a pretty damn decent reboot. but of course Smith just couldn't help himself.
agree. if I want sex and 'romance' I'll just go watch porn or a rom-com. I mean why watch censored 'sex' when you can go watch the real deal
instead?
Sometimes leaving things to the imagination does more than actually showing it.
Oddly enough from what I have seen over the years plenty of people agree and would rather a solid story with no romance or the sex in it. Especially
younger people who find it awkward to be watching a popular film with their parents when a graphic sex scene will come on. It just makes everyone
cringe in those situations.
Hollywood does a great job of ignoring what the audience wants.
I guess like the 'sly' video I posted. These people only care about 'critical acclaim'. As long as a few critics love their work, the much larger
paying audience can get screwed.
Perhaps because they are guided by an unseen hand that desires to depict that which is bad as good and that which is good as bad. Someone (or those)
who doesn't (don't) care as much about profits as you might think (it being less of a priority than the conditioning attempt I just mentioned).
Isaiah 5:20,21
Woe to those who say that good is bad and bad is good,
Those who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness,
Those who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!
21 Woe to those wise in their own eyes
And discreet in their own sight!
Or 'woke' and 'progressive' ('good' and 'righteous') in their own eyes, for that matter. “The god of this system of things” has done quite the
number on them. (2 Cor 4:3,4)
1 Cor. 2:12: “Now we received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is from God, that we might know the things that have been kindly
given us by God.”
The spirit of the world is the impelling force that influences human society, causing such people to say and do things according to a characteristic
pattern. Although people act on individual preferences, those who manifest the spirit of the world give evidence of certain basic attitudes, ways of
doing things, and aims in life that are common to the present system of things of which Satan is ruler and god. If the spirit of the world takes root
in a person’s thinking and desires, its fruitage is soon seen in actions that manifest that spirit. Some examples:
- Doing what a person wants to do, without regard for the will of God
- Reacting to situations on the basis of pride (too many pride parades and '... pride' movements already; give it a rest)
- Manifesting a rebellious attitude toward authority (Rebellion began with Satan, whose name means “Resister.” By his defiance of God, Nimrod,
whose name may mean “Let Us Rebel,” demonstrated that he was a child of Satan.)
- Giving free rein to the desires of the fallen flesh
- Allowing one’s life to be dominated by the desire to possess what one sees (which includes but is not limited to materialism, it's related to the
previous one as well)
- Basing one’s hopes and fears on what humans are able to do (A physical man considers what he can see and touch to be what really counts. His hopes
and fears revolve around the promises and threats of other men. He looks to human rulers for help and is disillusioned when they fail. (Ps. 146:3, 4;
Isa. 8:12, 13)
