Good point.
OSHA has strict guidelines, I am coming from an industrial sales point of view. I cannot sell an engineered fume extraction system that does a "pretty good job". It either meets the standards or it doesn't.
Shouldn't mask mandates meet necessary requirements to filter Covid-19? If not they should not be mandated. We all know the mask wearing has no standard I mean throw a bandana around your mouth and that would make you compliant.

I think it is just different goals. Slowing down the spread of a virus that has a survival rate in the upper 90's compared to someone working in a lab with bugs or fumes that will definitely harm them just isn't the same.

What’s the difference if it’s a biological virus hot spot in a packed city like New York City with people literally living on top of each other vs in a hospital vs a lab?

Lots more people in city with higher population density.

But what is the goal?

Australian Health Officer says not to talk to neighbors or be "friendly".

I didn't say the difference depended on location. I said the difference was the viruses/fumes someone was being exposed to.

But what is the goal?

Slow the spread that is probably going to happen anyway.

By treating your neighbor like a cancer.

For “ a virus that has a survival rate in the upper 90's”

That’s not humanity.

Anyway…

Crazy people push that sexual abstinence is not effective, but “they” want us to be abstinence from the most basic of human needs to stop a pandemic with something like a 98 prevent survival rate. It is a clown world.

You do know the coronavirus isn’t going away. How long have we lived with the coronavirus that causes the common cold?

I never said to do that, why conflate it with something I said?

Yes, like I said, you are not telling me anything I didn't already know.

If you think covid is going away, I suggest you start reading up on animal reservoirs……

You just want to argue.

You: "You do know the coronavirus isn’t going away.·

Me: "Yes, like I said, you are not telling me anything I didn't already know." (Meaning I know it isn't going away and knew this before you posted it)

You: 2 more posts acting like I said the opposite.

Then stop posting.

Especially when I can base items on logic and cited fact.

You just keep posting to just post.

How do you slow what is going to happen anyway. Can you place that in terms of effectiveness?

I will when you stop conflating things like "treat your neighbors like cancer" with something I said and asking me questions that contradict what I posted.

You just told me me to stop posting and then follow by asking me a question.

Besides, do you really need that explained?

No. You are the one that doesn’t understand personal protective equipment either protects you from injury or illness, or doesn’t.

That is how you measure it’s effectiveness.

Ignorance such as not understanding why you should wear personal protective equipment, and when it’s effective is fueling such attitudes.

And with a virus that doesn't cause injury or severe illness in the majority of the population extreme PPE isn't needed or are you telling me everyone puts on a full level A hazmat suit every time, regardless of what they are dealing with?

It isn't may fault you conflate things but I do feel the need to point out when you do.

There are people in power that are making policy for zero covid. Or making a bid for centralized government. All I can do is point out the stupidity, and resist.

I'm not them and all you are doing here is arguing with me about mask efficiency and how you can't accept less than 100%.
