Sad news that ZZ Top bass player Dusty Hill has Died , no cause of death has been given.

The band’s Billy Gibbons and Frank Beard issued a statement:

“We are saddened by the news today that our Compadre, Dusty Hill, has passed away in his sleep at home in Houston, TX. We, along with legions of ZZ Top fans around the world, will miss your steadfast presence, your good nature and enduring commitment to providing that monumental bottom to the ‘Top’. We will forever be connected to that ‘Blues Shuffle in C.’

“You will be missed greatly, amigo.”

I always like them. My friend died the same way, after getting the " you know what" poker

Damn. That's sad to hear.

They did one helluva version of Jailhouse Rock. One of the absolute best bands I ever had the pleasure to see in concert.

RIP Dusty 🙏

Just saw this on BBC… that sucks!

This is a band I wished I went to but the tickets were out of my range. I heard they sounded good (for a stadium show) and put on a good show.

Enjoy jamming with Jimi!!

I saw them in Midland, Texas back in the 80's. It was an amazing show that I'll never forget. Sad to see Dusty is gone.

the band in heaven just keeps on getting better and better.

back in my ten foot tall and bullet proof days, a weekend of partying was not complete with out that little ol band from Texas.

first concert i ever drove myself to was their 1980 tour in Mobile, them and the Rockets. brought ZZ Top back out 4 times with shouting Hell No We Won't Go.

Sad news! Great man! Great band!

RIP Dusty!

I saw ZZ Top at the Salt Palace back in the 80's.

Two nights before we saw them they had an entire tractor trailer load of their concert gear stolen. Much of it was their laser light show and lighting effects. True to form, they came an performed anyway, without all that stuff. One of the best shows I ever saw.

I wonder if it may have been caused by complications from a new medication, or maybe in some way contributed to.

Last week, the band’s official site shared that Hill was being sidelined due to a “hip issue.”

I just noticed this

You may have even seen him on screen in various appearances such as “Back to the Future Part III” and on “Deadwood.”

Don't think I ever realized they were in 'Back To The Future 3'. Guess I wasn't paying attention.
