I am so proud of what just happened. And judging by everyone else, this is a moment!!

Lydia Jacoby of Seward Alaska came from behind and touched the wall first, and won gold!!

I shouldn’t be so proud about Alaska, but I am, weirdly!!!

Of course you should.
She's a home town girl, and from a state that nobody would think of swimming skills.

Hell, I was only born in that state, didn't live there but maybe a year, and I'm proud of her!
Proud of all the ones that take pride in representing the USA.

Pool at a minimum. Parents wanted their kids to learn how to swim because they have boats. So, they learn to swim. Then they enrolled her in competitive swimming and just to “get time” she put on a sry suit and swam around the harbor!!

She also plays bass in a bluegrass band!
