the crane story, do you mean you saw this bird while you were in the hospital room with your mom?
I think it is possible that this special bird maybe her personal totem animal in the spiritual world.

Yes the pic is the actual bird I saw just a very short while before her passing.
The line at the bottom of the pic are the actual blinds in the hospice room.
The crane came right up to the door of the room, and my guess it's the same crane the nurse was talking about.
