She's probably not wrong; every one in cuba, except a small number of elite, are equally miserable and oppressed.

1619 Project writer Nikole Hannah-Jones said in a podcast that she believes Cuba is the most equal country in the Western hemisphere and could serve as a model for its integration agenda.

Nikole Hannah-Jones said Cuba is among 'most equal' countries because of socialism

So one of the founders of the 1619 project which has led to great things like CRT has come out in support of Cuba and said other countries, like America, need to be more like Cuba. How have liberals fallen so far that open support for socialism is now a good political move?

I did a thread awhile ago on Cuba. Can't link to video since on my phone but there is a great video from vice I believe showing how taxi drivers make more than doctors in Cuba and how the black market thrives while the govt control economy is a failure

"Cuba has the least inequality between Black and white people anyplace really in the hemisphere. I mean, the Caribbean, most of the Caribbean it's hard to count because the White population in a lot of those countries is very, very small. A lot of those countries are run by Black folks. But in places that are truly at least biracial countries, Cuba actually has the least inequality. And that's largely due to socialism—which I'm sure no one wants to hear."

Except that being equal in squalor isn't really desirable for people. Unless misery loves company is actually true. It really isn't.

Why anyone would give that vapid harpie a chance to vomit her stupidity onto the rest of humanity is beyond me.

She has never said anything that made sense, ever. The 1619 Project is the most academically devoid nonsense to ever be forced onto American school kids, and now she thinks this gives her authority to dissect Cuban society...

What passes for competence is sad.

She clearly doesn't want the best for African Americans, she just wants the worst for non-African Americans. That would be the only reason to admire Cuba in this case.

Sure, that's why all the peeps in Cuba are so happy! So happy they're all flocking to the streets to proclaim their extreme joy!

Even according to many people who voted for him he was a far cry from what they really wanted. One poster just yesterday suggested how he was only one quarter of what conservatives really wanted. So yeah, I stick by my opinion of him as an example of how a looser can rise to the top in the capitalist system.
There is no real discussion here between you and me, just bantering back and forth over a looser/winner so I don't think there is much more I can add to this little talk. Enjoy your day or night whichever it is where you are.

I think this is the end result of being programed to hate Trump BAMN.
You can not like him, how he talks, how he tweets, his orange hue, any of that. But it's hard to call him a failure unless your net worth exceeds his. When you do what you did, it looks idiotic and petty.

Bonnie and Clyde had a net worth more than me too. And Capone. And And and. and. It's how you got that net worth that is important to me and how all of them got it was by cheating and fraud and out right theft.

Do we think the rich capitalists are going to build there [Cuba/Caribbean] anymore when the climate forecasts predict more and more and larger hurricanes?

Of course they will, since they know the climate BS is BS.

Well, what does it mean, if at the end of the day..everyone just gets the same kick in the balls, and makes the same 5$ a month? This is not a model to aspire to. Lack of inequality is a great thing to strive for..the rest of it is bullsh#t

It's a long time ago 15 / 20 years since visiting but the Cubans people are the happiest bunch I ever met in this life. Tried weighing it up if it's the Communist stuff or the reality that they live in a very beautiful place sun, sea weather and beautiful Hispanic cities. But the people over there generally seemed really buzzing with life
