I was reading through Popular Science and saw this. I hought it was interesting.

2.5 Energy, in exajoules (exa = 10^18), released by Indonesia's December 26 earthquake, in 4 minutes.
2 Energy, in exajoules, consumed by the U.S. in one week.
600 Megatons of TNT needed to generate the energy equivalent of the Indonesian earthquake.

I've looked on Popular Science's website for that article (I think I posted the whole thing). It was just a little thing in the corner called "Statisticly Speaking". I haven't been able to find it online, but will look some more.
