Prices jumped 5.4 percent in June, the biggest rise since 2008.

What concerns me is if you believe in the charts look at the drop off after the 2008 cycle, now in 2021, we won't have thousands of ruined businesses to speed recovery. If we don't have a hot fall and holiday retail season, the rest of 2021 and 2022 look bleak as hell. That drop off after 2008 will be twice as long and much deeper in 2021.

The Consumer Price Index climbed by 5.4 percent in the year through June, the Labor Department said, as prices for used cars and trucks accelerated rapidly and accounted for more than a third of the surge. The overall inflation change was more than the 5 percent increase reported in May and was the largest year-over-year gain since 2008.

We were in Cape May for the fourth and it was the busiest it's been there in many years. There was no vacancy and most restaurants were completely booked which leads me to think that people finally just got the hell out of the house after being veal-boxed for the past year plus.

Inflation is something the Media and Biden Admin cannot hide. Every working-class person and every company feels it. Inflation hurts. Started at the gas pumps after Biden took over the White House. Now spreading out to almost all sectors.

Well, that's encouraging ...

Those nearby vacation and getaway spots will do well especially the upper crust locales.

We are getting loads of appointments for our August market, which is also encouraging as hell.

Many of our accounts said they need a good 12-18 months just to move hanging inventory. We are doing continuous trunk shows and other promotions to help with that. In our industry, our stores are wanting new and different and our upper-end accounts seem to be doing very well all things considered.

He didn't rescue us from the root cause of the housing bubble; Illegal predatory lending and people lying on home application loans because it's still happening. Nobody went to jail but I will give him a pass on how it got to that point.

Regardless, it's not the job of the President to tinker with the economy. The economy in fact works much better when they stay out of it altogether. Just protect the border and eliminate ass backward trade deals. We will do the rest. Biden and Obama however can not let that happen. If that happens Government influence starts shrinking due to real job creation.
