I always have a few tins of the O's around. They say they are good for sex. Well, I have eaten 10 and only six worked. What a sham.

They are on my list of foods that are bad for gout.

Gotcha. It's the purine.
I know shellfish, organ meats and alcohol can really trigger gout sometimes.

I like kippered herring as a snack on crackers. I would rather have soaked and simmered salt cod fish with a little salt pepper and butter with toast for breakfast on Sunday morning.

Bloaters are herring that are brined briefly with the guts intact in the fish, then cold smoked a bit. The brining doesn't retard the bacterial action on the guts, so they bloat up a bit.

Well, if I drink all the beer now, there won't be any for later!

A pint is "all the beer"?
You're doing something wrong.
