Good second half performance.

After they scored the first goal England went into backwards overdrive, were boring as hell and nearly allowed Ukraine to get back into the game.
Top class opposition could easily have punished us.
We need to stop taking our foot off the gas.

When we go forward and take defenders on there is literally no-one better.

Kane will get the headlines but Shaw and Stirling were the stars for me.

I know I criticise Southgate but I don't think he'll get too carried away with this, he'll keep his players feet on the ground and will already be preparing for Wednesday.

Well well well

Little ol' England are doing the business. Looking very very strong. Sterling so hot right now.
Denmark next, who will give yiz a much tougher game than anything yiz have had so far.

Something Lineker said last night thats stuck with me.

All 4 of the semi finalists have played their group games at home. Which brings me back to what i said a while ago. This tournament is very unfair to most of the teams in it. Traveling thousands of miles in sweltering heat. While teams are traveling their opponents are getting work done on the training pitch.

Its because of Platini this tournament is all over Europe, thank God he's gone.

Only problem with that is Denmark still lost at home to Finland.

Denmark are a good, solid team and will pose different problems to which England have previously encountered.

But they are pretty one dimensional and if we are being honest, individually they lack quality and depth.

As was mentioned last night very few of their players would even get in England's squad let alone their starting line up.
But they play to their strengths and collectively they are a good TEAM.

They are exactly the sort of team that previously England with their slow, deliberate build up have struggled to break down.

If England play with the intensity and pace that they are so obviously capable of then they have the skills and players to beat anyone.
But they are also more than capable of #ing up big time.

Any opposition deserves respect and serious consideration.
Denmark are in the semi-final of the European Championship's; they deserve the respect that that achievement deserves.
They are a GOOD team.

But as with most things in life; the biggest thing we have to fear is fear itself.

Yeah i hear you about Denmark alright. But they do look good going forward, dangerous.

But yiz should beat them. England seem to have a confidence about them that seems like a real TEAM playing for each other.
The 2 holding midfielders is working well for them. Sterling and Kane are devastating defences. The defence looks very solid.
All round England look very hard to beat, very strong all over the pitch.

Yiz should win the whole thing. European Champions? I'd say so

Highlights of England's 4-0 win last night for anyone unfortunate enough not to have seen the game.

The Danes only won one of their group games and haven't really been tested in this tournament yet , a semi-final against England at Wembley will be that test.

England v Italy Final ? , I think so.

Confident but also bearing in mind that it's football , anything can happen.

Whatever ever happens .... at least we beat the Germans.

Excuse me but the phrase "all lives matter' is racist in the US. You arent supposed to write or say racist things.

Indeed.
And given England's history.....

Southgate maybe a lot of things but England will not lose due to a lack of preparation or taking the opposition too lightly.

As for the 'taking the knee' #e; I've never really supported it.
Then it started to piss me off.....now I don't even notice it.
Whatever relevance it may have had has gone now and its message and potency has seriously diminished.

They'll keep on doing it until their tournament ends - hopefully as victors - but then they should really consider abandoning what has become nothing but a token gesture of wokism.

You cant be serious?

That match was played 2 hours after their captain and star player almost died on the pitch. Didnt you see how it affected the players?

Kasper Schmeical has said the decision to play that night was made when everyones head was gone. We should never have played he said.

So yes they lost at home to Finland, but under the circumstance, its hardly worth pointing out.

They still progressed to the last 16

I am most serious. It blows away the argument that playing all their group games at home was an advantage.

It wasn't though. Or do you think they won that game?

So. England's first match - 1.0. Second - 2.0. Third match - 4.0.

If my maths is correct, next match is 8.0.

If only.
:cheers

I remember when we lost to Germany a while back the commentator said "We shouldn't be upset that Germany has beaten us at our national game. We beat them twice, at theirs"

Classic.

One to be remembered and used accordingly.

8-0?
Now that its getting down to the nitty gritty I'm coming round to the opinion that 1-0 followed by 1-0 will do me.

I know I've changed my tune but its starting to become something of a real possibility and not just the usual hyperbole etc.

Yeah, but my unrelenting experience is of England building our hopes up only to get them dashed.

Still remember Waddle's penalty. The ball is still up there floating in the sky...
