Yes, I lived in Manchester for ten years throughout the 90s. When the authorities cracked down on hooliganism, the militant factions moved to other sports... even cricket; Old Trafford Cricket Ground became a battlefield.

Extreme hooliganism has nothing to do with football, per se, but thrives on recruiting and rallying vulnerable, often drunk fandoms to commit violent actions. Many just get caught up in all the mayhem and follow like sheep. The real criminals are well organised and know how to create chaos in any sporting event or public demonstration where there are many people aggregated.

And good luck to Italy, least they won their semi-final in an honest manner

If at least one Scot had not come along with a comment like that, i would have actually been disappointed.

See you have been down to the chemist to pick up a bottle of Bitter Pills. Next stop for you the supermarket for a bottle of wine. It's been a good season for sour grapes.

Scotland fans should eat that chesse when watching the final on TV. It's the close they are ever going to get to one.

They must have spent a fortune on shirts of Englands opponents. Inckuding their own oil rag shirt, Sunday will be shirt number seven.

No. Far too mean to do that. More like cheap tee shirts and crayons.

Ha ha ha.
Trust a Scot to not give an impartial view of an English game of football and England in general.

Totally impartial and I love a good game of football, however England's second against Denmark was in no way a penalty. And in addition to that, Harry Kane constantly going over like a ton of bricks the minute anyone touches him is cheating in my book, makes a mockery of the beautiful game.

Hopefully Bjorn Kuipers has a good game in the final, along with Italy ofc

Denmarks free kick that lead to their goal was not a foul and should not have been given.

Oooh, must've struck a nerve:

You need strong nerves being an Engand fan.

Three Lions - Skinner and Baddiel.

As a Scot, I must be in the minority with some of the posts in here. Don't really care much for politics within games.
Have always supported Scotland firstly, followed by England, Wales and NI in whatever order stays in any International competition the longest.

Can see England winning in the final. Gareth Southgate's redemption after the 96 penalty miss has been a highlight to watch

To be fair, I know a few Scots who want England to win....they just won't admit it publicly and have sworn me not to mention it to anyone else.

I have a group of friends in Glasgow and about half of them have individually texted me to say they hope England win but asked me not to tell the rest of them that they said that - I have saved the texts for a suitable occasion - the other half have told me they hope we get battered and are buying Italian tops.

Wouldn't have it any other way, that is football banter and craic and its how it should be.

I want Scotland to get beat in everything, even tiddly winks - but somehow I found myself cheering them on during this tournament.

Passion is what football is all about.
For all that football helped many of us get through the pandemic it can't be denied that it was sterile and rather soulless without fans.
This tournament has brought that fact home to many.

There's enough misery and hatred in this world without adding to it over a game of football.
Support your team.
Revel in the many rivalries there are and enjoy the passion and fervour it brings.

But hatred and bigotry - whatever form they take - should have no place in football.

The English Football Association has been fined £25,630 for the incident that saw a laser pen shone at Danish keeper Kasper Schmeichel and because of nasty English fans booing the Danish National Anthem , the laser pen incident was totally out of order and the idiot that thought it was OK should be hunted down and slapped silly but booing a rival's Anthem is par for the course and part of the arena mind game , some would argue it spurs on the opposition .... grow up UEFA !

We've been ordered to sit on the naughty step until tomorrows game when no doubt we will do it again ... the booing of course not the idiotic laser shining .

This is all we need... talk about ants in your pants!

I remember many times being caught up in swarms of flying ants... those are big buggers!

Swarms of flying ants could swarm to Wembley and cloud the Euro 2020 final, after a radar detected millions of bugs over London and the south-east on Friday.
