Elden Ring - Official Gameplay Reveal , for the Souls fans.

Bandai Namco have released a rather lush trailer for the long awaited action RPG , Elden Ring , a game created by FromSoftware creators of the Dark Souls games.
Souls fans looking to scratch that itch will have to wait until January 2022 though.

I haven't played anything of theirs since DS3 which was a hell of alota fun, if not a wee buggy in a couple spots. Super intense games, this looks to pull from DS, I will have to get this. I haven't played much since Red Dead2 and World War Z...both which got VERY old playing online.

This looks pretty awesome. I love the look of the fast paced combat. The world looks like a mix of dark souls and bloodborne. It's sort of creepy and Gothic but more obviously fantasy like dark souls. If they went back to the interlinked, metroidvania-esque style world of the first dark souls I'd buy that in a second.

A bit concerned, coming from these guys, that I'll spend 70$ and not be able to make it through the third Boss!

Played Dark Souls through till the end, amazing and insanely hard..I am still stuck a third of the way through Shadows Die Twice..

It will prolly get 9.5 out of ten so I guess I'll get it anyways.
4 hours of constant death trying to kill these badies is trying though, to say the least..

I will be (im)patiently awaiting.

I always book the release day of souls games off to play with the two guys who introduced me to demon souls way back when. We are very excited to see who makes it the farthest the fastest day 1

If it's the same as Souls, no thanks. I realize some like the challenge, but after days of frustration I decided Souls was not fun and returned it.

Is this more of an RPG versus one near-impossible encounter after another?
