Channel migrants have been secretly picked up in French waters by the UK Border Force and taken to Dover, the Mail can reveal.
The controversial action on the French side of the Channel was orchestrated between senior crew members of HMC Valiant and French patrol ship Athos last Saturday.
On Friday night, a Home Office source said the Government's own border agency appeared to have helped migrants enter the country illegally, adding: 'The job of Border Force is to secure the UK's border, not facilitate illegal entry across it.'
The previous day – Friday, May 28 – was the busiest of the year so far, with 336 migrants sailing the 21 miles to the UK from the north French coast.
The behaviour of the Valiant, a Government vessel on sea patrol to protect our borders, flies in the face of Whitehall's repeated promises to stop the relentless flow of boat migrants.
Wetherspoons boss Tim Martin has called for more EU migration to help tackle the shortage of bar staff working in the UK.
Could this have anything to do with this recent news?
Six asylum seekers formerly housed at Napier Barracks, in Folkestone, won their challenge against the Home Officeover the “unsafe” and “squalid” conditions at the facility.
Activists have repeatedly raised concerns about the site, and a number of organisations including Refugee Action, Jesuit Refugee Service UK, the Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants (JCWI) and Care4Calais, reiterated their calls on Thursday for the site to close.

If I was an 'asylum seeker' I certainly wouldn't want to be turned away by anybody.
These asylum seekers have, effectively, been turned away by every country up to this point. Just because they weren't caught before, doesnt mean they were welcomed. Unfortunately as an island nation the UK is perceived as the last stop.
My wish is to deport all asylum seekers.
Would I be happy to turn away a "genuine asylum seeker"? Yep.
Why? Because running away never stops a bully. The problem at home needs to be fixed.
Do I think many will die? Yes, and when enough are murdered on return they will stop coming, and eventually change thier own regieme.
As for me as an asylum seeker I wouldn't think kindly of the UK, so I would seek asylum on a county down the route. Or change my own county. Or stay quiet.
Sadly, it's the corruption of politicians and officials that keeps the routes open. So along with being hard on asylum seekers, aiding thier entry into the UK in any way should be punished with sequestration of all asets and life imprisonment. This probably has to happen a few times to get the message a across.
A statement from the council said: "Once again Kent services are at risk of being overwhelmed by the number of new UASC arrivals by boat, which already stands at 60 more children than at the same time last year.
"Kent's services have reached breaking point for the second time in under a year."
