There are TONS of resources available to homeless Americans to help get them housed and back on their feet. Even more so for veterans. The problem is that they have to seek help, it wont come to them, and they won't seek it due to addiction and mental health problems.

You are indeed correct that is why there should be a more user friendly approach to the services.

Reminds me of this video. It sometimes just takes learning to work together to solve a problem.
