I played the originals some 14 years ago on the old XBox. Saw the enhanced version of all 3 games and got on the PS5. Just getting into the first game, graphics do look better, although the character models look dated, and some of the voice acting is cringeworthy. Otherwise I forgot what cool games the Mass Effect franchise has

Now if only the Mako could survive the Maw on one of the first missions to find a missing doctor. Kicks my a$$ every time, even if I lower the difficulty setting

Only played Mass Effect 2 but I did enjoy the game , the fact I killed Mordin is still a scar on my soul.

I might pick up the Legendary Edition when it comes on sale at a later date ... just to right my wrong.

I recall my 1st thresher maw encounter fondly. I had no idea they existed, and I was driving around a random desert planet chasing a checkpoint. Being all pop-cultury, I go, "Arrakis, Dune, desert planet ... the spice must flow!" In my best drama voice, and somewhere in my dramatic pronouncement, the first maw I had ever seen pops right up underneath me!

It was beautiful ...

You been playing as Broshep? Femshep has way better voice acting.

Is legendary enhanced plus all dlc? And Andromeda?
I've played it so often... so very often...lol
But the Mako sucks. The trick is to just never stand still.

FemShep rocks. She spoiled BroShep for me.

I must go.

It's not as bad as that cursed hovercraft from ME2.

You wanna know what the biggest Covid related crime is? Killing the economy? Please... Making the world a dystopian place without freedom of movement because: beware the sniffels? Bah! No, the real tragedy is I didn't get to see the new Dune movie yet!

Oh yes the Firewalker missions, that was too easy and so much fun. The trick with that is to hide behind obstacles and jump to shoot, stupid Geths can't get a single hit...

No, its the Trilogy 1,2, and 3.. all remastered (with 1 getting MAJOR overhauls)
The Mako controls have also been revamped, and made it much easier to control

The trick with is getting the damn thing to move in anything like the direction I wanted it to. Sure the strategy is simple it was the execution with those controls that made me tear out hair.

I have looked 'Includes single-player base content and over 40 DLC from Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3 games, including promo weapons, armors, and packs – remastered and optimized for 4K Ultra HD...' very tempting.
But couldn't see if mods are enabled on Xbox, like with Skyrim or Fallout 4?
Another round of who has the hottest Shepard ...lol...

Mako controls are better, but yeah, hard to change directions and avoid fire quickly enough. I'm on Feros now (I think) just trying to level
my crew up, not sure if that also affects the Mako's durability or not. Maybe I'll just leave the Mako and have my crew run around trying to kill that thing. I set difficulty to easy before that part, doesn't seem to change anything.

It's a nice break from AC Valhalla. I basically kind of finished t he game, at least the Animus part, now trying to kill all the order

Oh the Thorian...
Always use the big gun the MG is useless, accelerate, shoot with the rocket-ish thingy and backwards out before they can hit you.

You picked a really hard one if you just want to level up?

I tried playing the first one when it came out, could not deal with the clunky controls. I've heard they've fixed a lot of that so I'm looking forward to maybe picking up a copy.

PC, and my controls were always finicky as hell.

Mako was sluggish, but it did what I wanted.

Mako wars:

1. Find cover
2. Roll out beyond cover
3. Fire shots until you overheat or they shoot back
4. Roll behind cover until they stop or you cool down or both
5. Repeat until target is dead

The only thing that doesn't work on is thresher maws, and then you just drive in big circles shooting at them when they pop up.

I played all three on the 360 and loved them. The first in legendary edition does look better but like you said the characters seem somewhere dated. The mako... still sucks.

Actually remember when I got the first Mass Effect shortly after it came out. There was a huge snowstorm in Denver, so big it shut the city down. No work. Stores weren't opening. You couldn't even drive on the roads so much snow had fallen.

Well I looked out the window in the morning after the snowstorm and saw neighbors walking with Target bags in their hands and I told my wife, "looks like they got Target open." So I took my kid and we trudged through the snow about 8 blocks to Target and it was open, lines were to the back of the store. We got a few things and I picked up Mass Effect to play while work was out.

I enjoyed playing through the entire trilogy. Still remember when I get to the ending of Mass Effect 3 and was just left my with jaw opened thinking, this is it? What? That ruined it for me. I enjoyed playing it, but am not going back. Since then, I really have grown out of playing video games. They just don't seem to hook my attention as before. Maybe I've just grown out of playing? I mean I still play a couple of games from time to time. But I just don't have the passion like I used to. Lot's of other things to do too. And sitting around on the beach or going for a good swim seem a better option when I have the free time. Or working on some project around the house.
