British Zombie Film name?

Hi all,

Wonder if anyone can help as its doing my head in. I am looking for a film i watched a few years ago. Its a british zombie film, set in London i think. The main guy is a hitman or career criminal who works as a sort of security guard for a private science company and gets caught up in a zombie outbreak. The story also follows a few other characters who are trying to survive and ultimately they are looking for a helicopter, which they find to be in disrepair, thinking it would be working. Sure a couple of the characters are coppers aswell.

Very vague i know. Been searching online all night and cant find it anywhere!

Or the sequal 28 weeks later? This has a helicopter in it but my memory is rubbish.

Were they stuck in a building? I recall watching it on netflix some years back. It wasn't cockneys vs zombies though...

Odd because i was thinking of it last night and couldn't think of the name.

Dawn of the dead also has a helicopter.
That's not British, though.

Also has some bikers and is set partly in a shopping mall.

Most of you didn't read the op I'm assuming, since Shaun of the Dead and 28 days and 28 weeks later does not involve any kind of criminal as a protagonist. Dawn of the dead's main character is a swat officer...just read the title and hit reply?

Sounds like it might be one of the movies I have in my old DVD case... was it zombie diaries? Or something like that?

I read the OP just fine.
I was trying to remember ones with helicopters in not whether the hero was a hit man, criminal or security guard.
A lot of zombie movies are similar in nature with lots of similar content.
Not that many have helicopters.

I watched an awesome show on Netflix called "Misfits" like this. They were young folk stuck at a community centre.

Yes that sounds similar. I also watched it on netflix several years back. Im sure it started in a high rise building. And one of the opening scenes was a couple of met police officers running out of their station and getting on a patrol boat to escape the zombies...

Thanks for the suggestions but it is definately none of the suggested so far. I am sure it was a budget british one on netflix. The main character has flashbacks about assasinating someone in his former job who turns out to be pregnant and afterwards quits that job to become security for some private science company that ends up releasing the outbreak.

Excellent.
It's frustrating when trying to find a film with limited clues.
I saw a film in the 80s that I couldn't identify til about 2013 (approx).
I thought it was Polish but I was surprised to find it was actually Czech!
Not got round to watching it again yet but at least I can get hold of it now I know.
