So, you're saying we should all just assume he's guilty, because he likes the orange man, and everyone knows the orange man is bad?

No.

He is saying look at the MESSAGE not the MESSENGER.

Also not one of those "women staffers" who are supposedly backing him to the hilt would put their name to the document. NOT ONE.

They all retain plausible deniability for when they seek future employment opportunities... "yeah I worked for the creep, but I was not one of the women that submitted to his extortion to put out that support document".

And what is the message?

You do realize that, again, it isn't the supporters that really matter.

So, how many - exactly - accusers have come forward, willing to go on the record?

Right...

By 'going on the record' I assume you mean 'willing to testify' at a Grand Jury?

Dunno. Nor do I know who might be subpoenaed to the Grand Jury.

Nor do I know who might cop a plea deal to testify (though there is one guy who is under pressure to do so).

Do you? Are you embedded in the investigation team?

What are you trying to get at? Do you think that the investigation is going on in real time on the internet? Are you really that naive?

The investigation is ongoing. There are a lot of allegations to evaluate and it seems that there are more are coming each day. Until they have proof, they are just allegations.

This is the real world, not Q world. People aren't charged just because someone invents a conspiracy theory. Even in Trumpworld, people didn't get locked up just because some blowhard chanted "Lock Her Up" for no reason.

Prosecutors don't go the Grand Jury until they have finished the investigation and they can demonstrate that there is enough evidence to make their case. There is a reason most Grand Juries vote to indict - its because Prosecutors don't take cases to the Grand Jury that they can't win.

And that doesn't necessarily happen on your timeline.

And yet. He is walking around free. Gaetz must be quiet the imminent threat to society.

This is reminiscent of “just wait to the Mueller report”, and the manufactured Trump Russian collusion.

If you don’t think government can manufacture crimes against an innocent person, I suggest you study the life of Preston Tucker.

No, I mean willing to file a complaint with the police.

You know... like the over 10 women who have come forward and accused the criminal Governor of NY, Andrew Cuomo.

The thing is, when accusations like this surface, the best way to judge their merit (or lack thereof) is whether or not a pattern emerges.

True predators, once someone is willing to take that first step, will always have more accusers come forward, revealing the pattern of abuse to be real.

False accusations don't reveal a pattern - as happened with Brett Kavanaugh - and no, I'm not a fan of Kavanaugh, but I recognize BS accusations when I see them.

Victims of statutory rape do not need to file a "complaint with the police".

Then arrest his a$$ if there is evidence.

Funny how things dragged out like this, and Russia Trump collusion, make lawyers rich.

Who is the country ran by. Talk about job security and true conspiracy.

Once again, nobody is going to arrest a sitting Congressman until their investigation is complete and their case is airtight.

Answer this question, if Gaetz is innocent, why did he seek a blanket pardon from Trump?

I frequently ask to be pardoned for crimes I never committed so I can then be legally guilty of those crimes. It's a total 487D chess move.

That is irrelevant right now. I remember a case where a man violated and murdered a very young girl in Florida. He moved to another state and was free for over a year before the FBI arrested him, though the report says he was under surveillance.

That person posed a threat to society yet was free for over a year before there was enough evidence to arrest him.

If you think that because he is not under arrest while being investigated, it some how means he is innocent, you are greatly mistaken.

Again.

If you don’t think government will manufacture crimes concerning an individual, you should study the life of Preston Tucker.

I bet he would have liked a pardon instead of being ruined to be found innocent.

Gaetz supposed victim is alive and able to testify. Is there even a restating order to aid in protecting the victim?

If it’s a Supreme Court nominee, democrats can just slander the individual during the confirmation hearing. That’s the problem, democrats have cried wolf all to often.

Rotflmao!

So, you're saying that victims of statutory rape are some kind of special class that have extra-judicial powers to accuse, prosecute and convict someone, completely outside the judicial system?

So in other words, you don't actually have an answer. We already know that Gaetz was at least partially involved with the things Greenberg was doing.

There are text messages that at least implicate him in Greenberg's fake ID operation. There are receipts showing that Gaetz paid women that he had been intimate with. Now we also know that Greenberg created fake IDs for underage girls and that he has been charged with sex trafficking of a minor. The same 17 year old that Gaetz is accused of being with.

There is a lot of circumstantial evidence that the public has seen. There is guaranteed to be more that has not been released. Things don't look good for Gaetz and if you think it's all manufactured by the government (it's with remembering this investigation was initiated during the Trump administration) then you're delusional.

And it’s the same game. A supposed “rapist” is walking free with lawyers getting richer.

When does the game change.

You have a live supposed rape victim who can testify. How much more do you need to lock up a person.
