That happened to me. I thought I was over it and it was just getting started. Your body is fighting this thing you need to stay relaxed and rest. The people who have complications are usually ones that are not paying attention to their bodies and overworking them when they should be resting, and those whose immune systems kick into overdrive. The flooding of the cytokines into the lungs is what causes the pneumonia. It is an overreaction from the body's immune system from what I understand.

Taking something like melatonin throughout the day keeps the body in a more relaxed and calm state, it doesn't just induce wanting to sleep. It has been thought that it may help allay the body's overreacting. Just a thought you may want to take some in the morning and night if you have any.

I should qualify my statement about the people getting hit the worst, I am talking about people I know personally. I knew of a family who got sick. Now the mother was elderly and in bad condition and her son was about my age, 5 years older, and he wasn't doing too bad at first.

Well they were living together and the son was so concerned about the mother, who was not doing well, that he was not taking care of himself. And it hit him really really hard. He ended up in the hospital, and then his mom. And then the son died. And then the mom died a few days later. And I have seen this to be the case a number of times personally. They say the son probably could have survived if he wasn't so worried about his mother, and actually took care of himself.

I knew another family that all got it. The mother and father were both really sick, the son wasn't doing so bad. They all stayed at home. The mother was feeling worse and worse. And they all said they were going to stay home and get over it. It came to the point when the mother couldn't breath, they had to take her to the hospital but it was too late. She had a blood clot, and ended up dying of organ failure. She was not that old either in her early 50's. A very loving woman everyone enjoyed being around.

I can tell you quite a number of stories like this of people I've known personally. From reading your comments I know you know this virus is no joke.

Resting, staying relaxed, and let your body do its job is vital.

There are post-covid symptoms too you should be made aware of if you aren't yet. Depending on your health, after getting over the virus it can leave various symptoms in your body for prolonged periods of time, sometimes months (perhaps longer?). And there are over 80 different symptoms of the virus. And a plethora of other post-covid ones as well. Some are pretty nasty as well.

Thank you. I woke up few minutes ago, I was expecting to feel better today but this thing is like a rollercoaster. Yesterday night I felt like needles punching in the kidneys and back by the lungs. Thank God that stopped, I just feel like I went to the gym after long time.

Are you a doctor? A special doctor that can read people over the internet? You must be you seem so sure of how OP really is.

I didn't say Trueman wasn't sick. Learn to read.

Trueman tested positive.

Using a test that is notoriously used improperly/wrong/unreliable/prone to false positives and negatives, and was never intended to be used for diagnostic purposes.

Positive means he is sick.

No, positive means the test was interpreted by some unknown/unknowable person as a positive result.

Like he said, if you had it you would know its real. Its real.

I've been truly sick before. On my ass, knocked down with the flu or whatever it was, for 2+ weeks. I know what sick is. But I think it was the flu, but I don't know for sure.

After tearing apart his post, you, the special doctor, end your post with this,

"If you are in a high risk category, then you are in a high risk category, whether it is the flu, or some new bugger."

SMFH

What, exactly, is wrong with what I stated? It is a simple fact.

Im a Nurse, I work in the Covid Unit here in Washington State at my local hospital.

Yes its real

Yes it can be serious, most times it is not

Yes it effects everyone differently

Yes the tests are not reliable

No its not a hoax, the REACTION to all of it and what they are USING it for is a totally different story.

Thanks for what you do...

And in case others may not have noticed, that is essentially what I was saying...

Oh - and the flu affects everyone differently. All of the supposed symptoms of COVID-19 can be exhibited by someone with the flu.

I wonder what it's like with people in relationships with you as judgemental as you are over the internet with strangers. Dude you need to knock it off. You can't just judge the OP as if you know him better than he does himself. Unless you know the person personally. You come across as a donkey.

Yeah, some people look for every little reason to be offended. I've never been one to go out of my way to 'not offend' someone, and often my simple statements of fact/truth are taken by others as offensive, when they aren't meant that way.

I can't help how you choose to read the words of others, but I will say this...

Nothing I said was judgemental of Trueman in any way. All I did was point out that the test he referred to has huge problems - was never intended to be used for diagnostic purposes, and is extremely unreliable, especially when implemented by idiots who don't know how to use it. they've been using amplifications of 35 or higher, which makes the test absolutely worthless, but who knows what amplification was used for Truemans test. Even if they use the recommended amplification level, it is still not intended for diagnostic purposes.

I'm simply relaying the facts.

Trueman, if you actually took my words as being judgemental, or saying you weren't sick, then my apologies for my lack of clarity. If you say you're sick, then you're sick, and I wish you a speedy recovery, whatever it is. But it would be good to not promote the lie that these tests are anything other than an extremely error-prone indicator.

That's ok and understand the test is not reliable. It actually happened this time to me.

If you read my first post on this thread :

I got tested Friday and the result was negative. I got retested today in a different facility and I got positive.

Then the symptoms were undeniable and confirmed what the second test said. In my 56 years, I had flu enough times to notice the difference. I never took flu shots and I was able to go through it.

This is something else my friend, it seeks your week spots and it alternates attacks on different areas of your body. Really evil.

Still fighting. I think I made it, symptoms becoming less strong.

The aftermath will be devastating, my economy got hit hard, not working and bills still coming. Asking for one month break on payments but big bills are unavoidable, like rent. Using my little savings. My job is not offering any relief at all. I'll have to use my vacations to cover some of the days of the quarantine.

I think wife got it now, I might recover in time to take care of her.

Survival all the way.

Get plenty of rest.

Eat fruits like oranges.

Eat some natural Honey.

Feel free to take vitamins, but don't over indulge.

If you choose to take the vaccine, I wish you luck.

Take care of yourself, and listen to your Body.

I changed my painkiller to Aspirin. Also restarted taking Zinc and Potassium and Magnesium. It stopped the diarrhea and cramps.

Now my whole family got it. We almost don't see each other. Everybody has a designated specific area, we use bleach every time we use the bathroom. Depression is unavoidable, I can hear my daughter's voice from my room, she's the strongest one.

We are fighting with all we got.
