I think doves are evil, their beefy little eyes belie their malicious intentions.

I like your case for an et landmark. I see no reason why it wouldn’t be used as such, I mean human pilots use roads and bridges as waypoints.
I’m not sure there is anything in the vicinity that would be interesting enough to navigate to though.

Yes, it does look a lot like a shiny metallic bird.
The saucer shape at an angle is a dead give away for a Martian Dove.

In the Close Encounters movie the numbers (used to find the location) were 104 44 30, 40 36 10.
As a direct lat lon reference that would be a random place along Can Am highway 85 not near the devils tower.
There was some reference to Pensacola on a calendar in one of the flight 19 cockpits.
104 factors to prime 13(*8) and 44 factors to prime 11(*4) and there are often 30 days in a month if that was meant as a clue.
If you are into ley lines you might find something as the bird(s) fl(ew) but not near Devil's tower in Wyoming.

I've spent some time each day watching a Live stream of Devil's Tower webcam. On June 11 2020 at 9:21 am I spotted an object flying erratically and was able to screen grab it before it flew out of view. Devil's Tower UFO
