That seems very positive.
Definitely try and get a job in a rural area. Kids are less ‘woke’ out there. I couldn’t imagine teaching in a big city.

My brother in law went into teaching in his mid to late 30's. It was a real challenge for him dealing with the students and parents we have today. Both behave like nothing we would have seen allowed when we grew up....and I would consider this school pretty rural although in an artsy town. After a few years, he was just fed up. He took a job teaching the GED classes at the women's prison. Other than having to go in and out of a prison to do your job, he said the women were a breath of fresh air because they actually WANTED to learn. In his first month many of them thanked him and said they'd never learned so much in their lives. Not trying to discourage you at all. Just suggest you go into K-12 with your eyes wide open, and to make sure you add some skills and tactics to mentally deal with the way many kids/parents behave today to your arsenal. Best of luck in your new career!
