Dogs of war and men of hate
With no cause, we don't discriminate
Discovery is to be disowned
Our currency is flesh and bone
Hell opened up and put on sale
Gather 'round and haggle
For hard cash, we will lie and deceive
Even our masters don't know the web we weave

One world, it's a battleground
One world, and we will smash it down
One world, one world

Invisible transfers, long distance calls,
Hollow laughter in marble halls
Steps have been taken, a silent uproar
Has unleashed the dogs of war
You can't stop what has begun
Signed, sealed, they deliver oblivion
We all have a dark side, to say the least
And dealing in death is the nature of the beast

One world, it's a battleground
One world, and we will smash it down
One world, one world

The dogs of war don't negotiate
The dogs of war won't capitulate,
They will take and you will give,
And you must die so that they may live
You can knock at any door,
But wherever you go, you know they've been there before
Well winners can lose and things can get strained
But whatever you change, you know the dogs remain.

One world, it's a battleground
One world, and we will smash it down
One world, one world

- David Glimour / Anthony Moore (Pink Floyd)

Once, it was just a song.

LOL ... no one wants to touch this one.

Did you notice that the "Official Video" has been age restricted by YouTube now?

Yes indeed it was once just a song. I don't think so any more though. It's just a matter of time before it all goes hot. The winds are stirring, the tension is already very tight, the snap is just around the corner.

One of my favorites on A Momentary Lapse Of Reason. Floyd was my first concert ever when I was 11 in β€˜94, started playing guitar a couple months after and it changed the entire path of my life.

bump

pink floyd used the modern version of: song/ballad/ode as the medium for public transmission

the historic prophecy route has been either Mythic tales or couched in Religious sacred writings

it is great that individuals share... their pieces-of-the-puzzle, AKA : Epiphanies

Sadly, it was the one show I never got to see, Pink Floyd. Even had a line on some tickets to see The Wall at Uniondale at the end of February 1980, but couldn't swing the trip and the time off. Might have been able to do LA, but all those shows were sold out. Parents weren't real down with that plan at all. After that it was off to Europe and never to be seen again.

www.youtube.com...

Yet, the sick satanic, sexual oriented, occult symbolism plastered in your face, new age music vids continue unabated.πŸ™„

Prophesy in rock music?

Oh dear, it can only go one way.

Well, I told you so.

Once it was just a song?
No, no it was describing reality at the time.
Conscription into the Cold War in some form.

It wasn't futuristic, it was describing exactly what was happening to young men around that time.

However, I think with music, each generation should make its own interpretation.

There was our context, now take it and be fruitful.
