I've seen plenty of guns in courtrooms. Didja ever notice those guards escorting prisoners in and out of court?

Tell that to the security guards at the metal detectors next time you have to enter a courthouse building to pay a fine, do jury duty, or whatever reason you happen to be there for.

I'm not in law enforcement.
I don't escort prisoners anywhere.
I don't know how what you said is relevent to anything I said.
Thanks for playing, though.

It's there for protection. End of story.

Yes, law enforcement assigned to the courthouse are there for protection.
And, the federal law that forbids you and I from taking a weapon into a court room is there for protection too. End of story.

I wasn't talking about me or private citizens in courtrooms. I was talking about how YOU said no guns were allowed in courtrooms. I proved you wrong yet you won't admit it. You must have missed that or either ignored it intentionally. Either way, your end of story is not relevent. You were wrong, admit it or drop it. I know you won't admit it and you probably won't drop it. Oh, the cognitive dissonance of these Lefty Loonies.

No you haven't. The federal law I cited still applies.

You must have missed that or either ignored it intentionally.

Yes, I intentionally ignored the fact that law enforcement assigned to court houses are legally armed, according to the same federal law that disallows you, me, or any yahoo, including lawmakers and their staff, to carry a weapon onto the Chamber floor.

We're not talking about the Capitol Police or state and local police, charged with enforcing the law and protecting court houses and federal buildings.

People showing up to court ... do so voluntarily ... or they're already in custody. Get me?

It's illegal to bring a weapon into a court room

Was it you that said this? Yes it was! I proved you wrong. I have seen weapons in courtrooms. Now get off it already! Any other comment from you is just blather. So, stop blathering!

Wop Tee Doo!

You've made no point, other than emphasis the fact that when the emacted law disallowed "wild west" shoot outs on the Chamber floor, it also assigned armed "sheriffs" to keep the peace, and protect the Democratic process, and federal institutions from rabble rousers.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) referred to House members who carry guns for self-defense as the “enemy within” on Thursday.

Lauren Boebert (R-CO) is the co-chair of the House of Representative’s Second Amendment Caucus and has been outspoken about her commitment to carry a gun in D.C. In a December 23, 2020, exclusive interview with Breitbart News, Boebert said, “I am my security.” She added, “Washington, DC, like most Democrat-run cities, has a violent crime problem, so I certainly need a way to protect myself and I will be carrying each and every day.”

What are they telling us? Is Pelosi saying that you and I are the "enemy without" by decree?

Following the January 6, 2021, Capitol riots Breitbart News reported that Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), the other co-chair of the Second Amendment Caucus, talked about how comforting it was to be armed when the rioters struck. Massie said, “The next member who argues Congressmen shouldn’t be allowed to carry firearms at work needs to be laughed out of the Capitol.”

That statement, though, was laughable unless Massie is planning on carrying around a crew-served weapon. 'Cause that's what it's probably gonna take the next time conservatives show up en masse. Some cop (what's it been .. 3 weeks with no further info?) shot an unarmed conservative in the Capitol Building her taxes paid for. How'd the lyrics to that The Who tune go? "Won't be fooled again."?
Soon?

So modern McCarthyism has taken root. Wonder how far they will take it in the hunt for political blood.
