Please skip to the 2nd paragraph first. The 1st paragraph is the update, and the original story is below it.

This is a craigslist ad. Now, many of us have seen the joke poster about a "found cat" which was really a opossum, and that was pretty funny, but it wasn't real. This one is real. At first I didn't believe it, but then I looked at the pictures. It's in his house!!

I spewed reading this! LOL!!!

The wife would definitely not know it was a bobcat. She never takes in cats around our house, otherwise they never want to leave.

Funny story, I don't think the guy was lying when he said he thought it was going to take off his fingers.

Did you find this your self? This is pretty funny. I wonder if they put up with him long enough would he eventually become tamed?

Lmao man!
A friend of mine in Tulsa has one. He didn't tell me till it came out to great me. She was actually very sweet. She jumped on my lap and I got really scared like a child. But she just chilled, and I wouldn't call what they do a purr.

I did actually. If you look on Craigslist, down the column on the left side of the page, about 3/4 of the way down there is a link called "Best-of-craigslist". It's a collection of these types of ads from all over. Apparently, users send votes in to CL when they see something like this in their area. CL takes the most popular ones and aggregates them under that link.

If you want a good laugh, there's all sorts of ads like this, covering just about any subject you can imagine. Some of them are intentionally funny, others, like this one, are WTF? moments. Some are just straight-up bizarre. I just thought that one was particularly funny.

Here is a link. (hope it works)

Thanks for the laugh man!
Oh well,at least the person had a good heart and was trying to help a poor lost "cat" out.

They should have bought the classic "cat kremlin" for it to live in.
www.craigslist.org...

Because every cat owner needs a papier mache kremlin for their pet to annihilate.

Thanks for sharing this.

Neighbors reported a bobcat in their backyard last week...So I've been keeping an eye out and watching the dog when we let him out at night.

That's hilarious, thanks for sharing.

One time when we were kids 7 or 8 we took our critter trap and put some tuna in it, and took it out in the woods behind our neighborhood. The next day we had a bobcat in it and it was pissed, we wanted to let it out but any time you went near the cage it would go bug#. LOL so by that afternoon it was extremely agitated finally we got a friend's Dad to come to take a look. He was going that's not a bobcat it's just a cat with no tail...SO he went to let it out, and it came out and clawed halfway at his leg of his nice business suit making all of us kids jump on the hood of his car. It then jumped down hissed and ran off. It was a bobcat

OMG, that's FUNNY!

Here's why:

My mom has this thing for finding abandoned feral kittens. DC is the one she stuck us with, but long, long before him, my sister got stuck with "Precious".

Now, there was nothing unusual about Precious. She was a typical yellow tabby.

But ... and this is where your story gets so funny ... My sister took to jokingly calling this bottle baby abandoned kitten a "wild" cat because that's what the typical feral cats are - they grow up wild. Well, my mom picked it up and just in passing mentioned it to my aunt who mentioned it to my cousin. And my cousin conjured a mental image much like your ad.

Now at that time, my nephews were 2 and 4 years old, so my cousin had a heart attack, and called my aunt in an absolute panic! "She can't have a wild cat in the house with those two little boys!"

And my aunt called my mom who was initially much confused because Precious really looked sort of like this:

Once the two of them got on the same page ... it became a huge joke. And your ad just makes it that much funnier if someone actually did do it.

I had a friend as a kid who caught a wild racoon one time. His family had a live trap they used for something, so we borrowed it and put it down by the stream. Next day there was a racoon in it. Now, we knew this thing was wild, but my friend was convinced he could make it tame. I don't know how old it was, but it didn't seem very happy.

He figured out how to feed and water this thing, fed it mostly cat food (which it loved). He had it for a while, and I kind of forgot about it actually. He mostly kept it in his garage and we weren't supposed to go in there. But one day a couple months later he had it outside on the side of his garage to get some sun and just be outside. I saw it and asked him how the "pet" was coming along. He said it was doing real good and was almost tame.

So, I walked over to the cage and when I got about 3 feet away this thing let out this shrieking scream / snarl like sound and attached itself upside down to the top of the cage spread eagle (facing me). It was snapping and biting the bars of the cage, and snarling, spitting and just generally acting psycho like it would rip your face off and eat your spleen. My buddy says to me..."See? He's doing a LOT better now, dontcha' think??" I just laughed and sarcastically agreed.

So the funny part was, finally they decided this thing really was wild and they should let it go. One night they rigged up a string and remotely opened the cage door from inside their house. The racoon ran off, but came back a short while later. Now the damn thing wouldn't leave! That racoon terrorized them and their dogs for weeks after that! Every time they'd go outside at in the evening or at night that thing would chase them, snarl at them, make their dogs go nuts and generally just make life miserable for anyone.

I guess that was 'coon payback'!! LOL!
