Fiji Islands Quakes

I’m pretty sure no-ones brought this up, but if they have, please enlighten me.

I’m no expert on earthquakes, but I occasionally check the IRIS Seismic Monitor website, just to see if there have been any major earthquakes or anything lately. There’s thing I have noticed though, just this morning. In and around the Fiji islands area there have been a lot of earthquakes at low depths. It was the 6.3 quake that happened yesterday that brought this to my attention.

As I said, I don’t know much about earthquakes, but there is certainly a trend here. Should this be a cause for concern? There’s a lot of talk lately about cracks in the earths crust which is causing mantle to collide with sea weather creating much steam and causing immense pressure to build up, which may be a cause of these earthquakes. This may seem to correlate with these quakes low depths.

On the other hand, this could be totally normal, and nothing much to worry about.

Any thoughts?

I dont find it odd they have had quakes. Dont they lie right on top of a fault line?
