I'm not sure how it happened, but somewhere along the way we've become a nation of sheep. Most of us have swallowed the party line as smoothly as a
strawberry milkshake. We expect everything to be done for us. I call it the Fast Food Mentality. Everything is so fast in our "modern" society
that we want "experts" to do our thinking for us, commentators to analyze politics, social issues, election campaigns, sports, the weather two weeks
from now, financial consultants to "guarantee" our wealth...man could I go on and on.
We are a nation of voyuers as far as I'm concerned. Sometimes I think we've had so much "canned" information at our fingertips, we cannot even
think for ourselves. The brain is like a muscle...use it or lose it. I guess that's why I'm proud to call myself a goat. I just refuse to be a
sheep and follow the masses. We all have the ability to seperate the wheat from the chaff, so I see it as coming down as the individual either
accepting their responsibility to take the time and burn the mental candlepower to make themselves aware of what is going on and figuring out why
it's going on.
Until we elevate ourselves as individuals, it doesn't matter how many parties we have, the outcome remains the same.
