I get the point of this, I guess it takes divergent thinking. You have to make associative leaps which stereotype all supporters into a single
conservative christian hive mind of an era gone by.
I'll explain my opinion.
MAGA, and the policies therein are ideals strait from the cold war. The staple of the cold war, at least in America was the belief "God chose
America to fight communism with total self-reliance". Only now godless commies are homegrown libtard socialists making sure the Norman Rockwell
Americana, malt shops, and futuristic Detroit made cars with Western Pennsylvania ore are firmly left in the past.
To fondly remember the days of duck and cover for the patriotic self sufficiency it was no more.
In simplest terms Trump represented a return to; One man, One Woman, 2.5 children, paycheck on Friday, and Church on Sundays for God and Country as
what makes America great with that same associative leap.
Bound to be resistance, and not that surprising all those Tejano and Southern state latino voters supported the dream of Americana that brought them
here as well. Cubans especially. Anything anti-communism sells it without question.
Same reason thousands of woman tried to stop their own right to vote. Belief in the tried and true is always strong.
Any time this happens there is a few years of back and forth in the name of sanctity before it dies down. Happens any time culture changes somewhat
dramatically.
To link that to climate. It's through mindset only. A stereotype reinforced by the average Trump supporter's opinion on climate topics with
not much if any variance to be had. They were all born with the same ideal, even if they weren't.
It's a response and then counter-response to a shift in society which now finds the following advert as indoctrinating White Anglo-Saxon
Protestant patriarchal elitism.
Thereby making anything that looks to This as a golden age of culture as default chauvinist racist.
