Thank God, maybe someone on the board finally get it...Corporatism is the problem. both the right and the left have their own ideas on how to support the corporations.
The left seems to try to directly give corporations tax payer money (ex bailouts, stimulus payments, food stamps), where as the right tries to make it easier for the corporations to take money from the consumer (reduced consumer protections, reduced environmental regulations.)

Best case, both the democratic and republican parties split and we have a true 4 party system.

Wow this is the result of the liberal mainstream media. The only idiots I see in this story, are the mainstream media, antifa, BLM, most all democrat politicians and the people that actually believe the democrats and Biden, have a plan to fix the deficit secure our borders, and get people back to work. Not talking about the military as much as the left not processing crimes when it is liberals involved and when it is Conservatives they want to throw the book. Think about people burning, looting vandalism for long periods of time with voiced remarks from liberal leadership that prosecutors will not touch any of while anyone within 50 feet of the capital they want to get on Seditious conspiracy that carries a penalty of up to 20 years in prison. So that old lady that walked in holding a small flag and just walked around and left could be charged with heavy jail time.

All this while we have 1000s of liberals doing some pretty heavy handed crimes that the FBI and local law enforcement will not touch with a 10 foot pole.

As a Brit i gave an opinion. Here in The UK we have had in the past Party Leaders who where unelectable because of the reasons i gave.

Politics in most Western Countries really aren't that different you know.

A corporation is just a money-making entity where its executives gain more wealth by acquiring more wealth for the company, justifying higher raises and bonuses for themselves. It becomes a well-oiled machine of greed with no thought to greater responsibility. It's soulless, yet legally a corporation is now treated as a person! I'm sure there are large businesses that are run ethically but there are those which obviously are not. When corporations corrupt governments and destroy nations, they've become a serious internal threat.

It may help if people started thinking for themselves and didn't rely on social media, talking heads, and social media influencers to tell you what is right, what is wrong, what is patriot, what you should think, how you should act, and what is truth.

We may have more insight into what is going on in our real world, and what is needed, if we spend more time in it.

The Republicans have been in office for 4 years. Their record is what i comment on.

Here's the thing, ATS is the closest thing I use to social media.

The only talking heads I see are what people post here or when I'm taking care of my mother.

I suffer from aspergers, socializing is a nightmare especially in an environment that changes daily.

What I have learned from social interactions can never be applied to the day, twice in a row.

Yet from posts I've seen, I'm expected to believe I'm a fascist, gun toting red neck that hates fweedom.

I've tried to extend a hand to get to know people here, some work, some double down on hating me.

Do I just leave?

I am very much like you. I don't participate in the social media sites, I have none of the apps. I participate on ATS and one other forum.

Almost all of the videos and articles shared by our members are usually used to prove a point. If you look you can ways find someone somewhere that will agree with you and support for what you think and believe, unfortunately a million plus people repeating a lie does not make it the truth.

I am too untrusting and doubtful to believe something just because I want it to be true.

I will never agree with every poster in the forums I visit, and never will they all agree with me. For me, they don't have to.

For me it is not so much about having to agree, as much as it is about being able to have the conversation.

I know I am a bit different. Being the oldest in a family with five brothers and four sisters, I have spent my entire life as the mediator. I listen when people speak, and I always try to see it from their side.

Listening and understanding does not require agreeing. It does require respect and being tolerant when you don't agree with someone, and when they don't agree with you.

So you don't need to leave, unless it becomes too toxic for you, then you can choose not to participate in those kind of posts that makes participation intolerable.

I have bought my last from Amazon and have even shredded my Amazon credit card. Working on limiting Google as much as I can as well.

As long as Conservatives align themselves with radical, violent fringe-Right they're doomed. People planned and executed a siege on the U.S. Capitol using these platforms. They got booted for doing that just as pedophiles are when they're caught organizing online. You shouldn't be lumping 'Conservatives' with the Alt-Right. Ever notice the big ones get massive bailouts, free cash, then it always turns out they weren't even spending the money they made appropriately to begin with? Airlines for example. Oh woe is us! We need money! Next month: xyz airline recalls fifty thousand airplanes that haven't been serviced in twenty years.

I was sitting on the tarmac once and the pilot came over the comms and told us the plane was having an emergency check because someone saw a dent in the wing. They then told us the plane had not been checked since 20XX (can't remember exact date but it was four years prior to this experience). Ofc it being a bull# airport, the people that check those things are under contract and not at the airport soooo.... two, three hours later Cap comes back on. Ladies and gentlemen, that dent has been there since the last check (years back), we're good to go..

I can't wait to bail out another airline.

Not relevant but those who may be interested, this was a simple flight from PWM (Maine) to JFK (NY). Can't recall specific airline (I've been on a lot of planes).

Sat on tarmacs for hours and hours, slept in airports, paid ten times more than the food/drinks are worth, all that snip. But dang, when you're up in the air and have an amazing view from the sky, it almost makes all the pain worth it.

But then you remember the plane hasn't been looked over in years and your taxes have gone to giving the airline more money then you'll ever see.

I guess if we're going down, what's eight dollars for a watered down beer or cheap whine? As long as I get the isle seat!
